"Aletheia" takes its name from the ancient Greek concept of 'truth'—not as a simple fact, but as the act of 'unconcealment' or 'revealing what is hidden'. This epic composition from Umbralith is a musical manifesto that tears down the veil of manufactured hope and promises of solace offered by religions for generations.

Every evening begins the same way for my batallion.

Pulsating thunder in the distance and that uneasy Balkan rhythm passes through the earth beneath our boots. We usually grow anxious in the cold half-light, never sure if the quiet is mercy or a warning. The war drags on, day after day, and I often stand alone in the fog and smoke, listening for the next metallic echo that might end everything for everyone. 

BALKAN DUSK is the sound of our batallion holding our collective breath, but stepping forward anyway.

Started in 2012 as a solo project of drummer and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Carter (ex-The Chariot, ex-Deus Invictus), Darkening was borne out of necessity to create something much heavier and abrasive than the aforementioned projects.  Added to the roster is bassist Josh Swofford (ex-Luti-Kriss, Norma Jean), pummeling listeners on the low end with reckless abandon.   Combining black metal's screeching lust for the occult, death metal's aural supremacy, the heart of punk and good old fashioned rock and roll swing has this band on trajectory to breaking new ground in the fields, or graveyards, of heavy metal past; digging up a new corpse entirely!  Hailing from Atlanta, GA, a band of seasoned musicians skilled in the ways of pure chaos and unrivaled brutality is making its unholy mark.  No light, no prisoners:  Only Darkening.

SINCERE IMPOSTER is an intimate collection of artists exploring a curious mixture of New Wave, Dance, EDM, Folk Rock, Metal, Art Pop, Electro, Dreamwave, and Experimental World Pop. Collectively, this is known as QUIRKPOP — music that pushes the creative limits of traditional pop.

Expect an unpredictable journey through sound, emotion, and humor, where genres collide and pop bends in strange new ways. Each song is conceived, composed, and performed with total sincerity, whether it’s built from voices, instruments, software, or hybrid experimentation. The focus is on the music itself: if it resonates, it resonates. No explanation required.

SINCERE IMPOSTER is curated by two musicians, both living within the same body, sharing a singular existence. They identify as Danielle & Dave. They are both psychologically and musically confused, yet extremely and unapologetically sincere.

Influences range from Weird Al and Nathan Fielder to David Lynch, Rosalia, Monatik, Atarashii Gakko!, Rammstein, T-Pain, and T-Swift. 

Danielle & Dave’s favorite inventions include the vacuum and the peach pitter. Their father is simply known as Vessel… who may be an entity or a god.
