When Cathy left Greece to travel Europe it was an opportunity to go on a journey of self-discovery. This wasn’t the intention they set out with though. The reason they left their birthplace wasn’t clear when they left, to be honest. However, the way they put it: as a child they were always destined for something great. They were right: they’re queer. Meeting new people in so many different countries helped Cathy to figure out their gender, their poetry and general love for life.

What’s more this episode: a shameless discussion on American early aughts alt rock. This nostalgia fuelled subgenre is a surprisingly common spark to light a musical fire. It didn’t always age too well but the first time you hear 3 Doors Down on the radio can be weirdly impactful.

Music plays a huge role in queer life. With so many memories, anecdotes and other stories that have songs attached to them, it would be a shame if no one would ever share them.

An artist for the 21st century redefining what country music means today. A Country Rebel of our time with his own unique sound that has a combination of Country twang, Pop melodies and Rock and Roll's attitude.

Straddling House, Disco, Breaks & Prog with a unique twist and an eye for the underground NOLAN is making serious waves right now, with key releases on Mobilee, Stil vor Talent, Bedrock, Renaissance, Circus, Kittball, MadTech, Crew Love, Get Physical, OFF, Gruuv & Connaisseur Recordings.

His collaboration with legendary actor Idris Elba caused quite a stir with it's no nonsense anti EDM stance. The vinyl release of which, with its analog heavy Of Norway remix featured as the opening track on John Digweed's Transitions radio show which then led to the NOLAN guest mix on show 511.

NOLAN's debut release 'Thief' which was snapped up by New York's Nurvous Records, making its way into the discerning boxes of Maceo Plex & Wolf + Lamb. His follow up EP was released on vinyl by the exquisite Connaisseur Recordings, with a bumping Paradise Garage-inspired disco track alongside a stunning revision of an MK classic. Followed by a sizzling hot vinyl EP on Audiojack's GRUUV imprint with remixes courtesy of John Tejada and Poker Flat's Kyodai. Then came 'Go Slow' with it's choice remixes from Miguel Puente & a young Finnebassen who's remix clocked well over 5 million views on YouTube.

His collaborations with Soul songstress Rachel Adedeji created a huge buzz amongst the DJ community featuring remixes from DJ T, Sharam Jey, Climbers & ATFC. Which was followed by a slew of releases on Low Steppa's Simma Black, Sleazy Deep, ALiVE, King Street, Dear Deer, Sakura Music & a vinyl release on Sex Panda White with remixes from Kevin Over, Telonius (Gomma) + Matt Fear & Kreature. 

But it’s one of NOLAN's collaborations with Amber Jolene which is proving hard to beat. The sublime remix by Danish rising star KANT resonated around Ibiza island and features on Toolroom Ibiza CD, Pure Salinas, Coco Beach, Armada Sunset + Ministry Of Sound Chilled House Ibiza compilation CDs and has also now had over 13 million views on YouTube alone!

Not one to rest on his laurels Nolan's next collaboration with the inimitable Forrest came out on KITTBALL featuring remixes from Hot Creations duo Raumakustik and label boss P.A.C.O. Followed by a 2 tracker ‘Dance Boy’ & ‘Cassette Tape’ on Enzo Siffredi's chart busting Wired imprint & a release on Kerri Chandler’s MadTech. 

Soul Clap & Wolf + Lamb then snapped up 4 more Nolan / Forrest collaborations for an EP on their Brooklyn based Crew Love Records & a collaboration with House Music royalty Joi Cardwell recently came out on the legendary Henry Street Records. Most recently though, Nolan's release on Mobilee with Mr.V on vocals and remixes from SIS and Re.You are what's causing heads to turn!

Plus the future looks bright with SASHA signing 3 more NOLAN tracks for LNOE & Digweed snapping up a remix of Coloursound for his next Quattro compilation.. Plus another couple of collabs lined up for release on Mobilee Records with Serge Santiago, Mazi & Forrest.

Originally a drum and bass DJ, Tommy found is passion for hard trance after discovering the free party scene in the early 2000s. It didn't take long for Tommy to put aside the drum and bass records and start putting together a hard trance vinyl collection, as soon as a set was ready Tommy began to play out regularly at free party's and it wasn't long before Tommy became a well known face as a DJ in the illegal rave scene.  before long Tommy wanted to add something a bit more original to his sets rather than playing the same tunes over and over and this is what sparked Tommy's passion for music production. After about a year of learning how to produce, a few of his own tracks floating about plus a few releases on labels such as GBH records and Mode 303 Tommy finally achieved his goal of getting a couple of tracks signed by the mighty Project Storm Recordings, with those tracks and now regularly being on the DJ line up for the legendary project storm events as well as a lot of support from the Dunstable's Twisted Culture, this is when Tommy really began to become one of the leading names in the UK free party hard trance scene, later on releasing tracks on labels including Unit One recordings, Rapture, Free the mind, Wired together, Impulsive and Unhinged audio, also playing regular sets at some of the biggest legal events and festivals from the scene, including Boomtown Festival, and 3 appearances on the legendary imagination stage at the much loved Illusive Festival.
