On this 3rd joyful Gaudete Sunday in Advent, only a week now before The Holy Christ-Mass, I wanted to reflect on my journey and life in the Catholic Church begun 40 years ago today. I rejoice especially in the gift of the mystical sacrament of the altar, The Holy Eucharistic Jesus and Holy Spirit. I rejoice in the sacramental fullness of the mystical body of Christ throughout the Catholic world today, still living in the very Spiritual Life of The Lamb of God, Who gives us Himself Eucharistically, in His own Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity -Alleluia!

This is my preperation mix for my B2B set with The One And ONLY LowerCase for the 360 Halloween Spooktacular 24/7 event that took place on 28th October 2023 at The Church in Derby!

This is not the actual set we ended-up playing which was longer (1.5-hour), mixed differently and featured the mighty MC Chit Chat but nevertheless I thought I'd upload my prep set as it's quite different to what I'd normally play.

Cousteau were formed in London in the late 90s when singer McKahey from Cork hooked up with songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ray Moor from Canberra. Cousteau’s self-titled debut album was released in 1999 by the small UK indie label, Global Warming. After an appearance on Later With Jools Holland the band were signed by Chris Blackwell’s Palm Pictures. The band’s debut single ‘The Last Good Day of the Year’ became an international hit and the band’s album was re-released. Cousteau toured the world eventually selling a few hundred thousand albums. Spent most of my allowances on extended, remixes and hard to find 12" dance vinyl records, used to frequent record stores (Tower, Record Factory, Star, etc.) on weekends and after class. Pursued Electrical Engineering to quench that never ending curiosity on how electricity, analog and binary signaling work. Obsession started first with collecting cassette tapes in grade school then evolved to 12" Extended Remix Vinyls high school, made 100's of mixed tapes for classmates. Count the BPMs, find the intros and breaks and move on the next.The Art is in the mix! Happy listening! Cheers! 💾🎧📻
