The Cure - Why Can't I Be You  (Young Edits Drugged Out Version)

My Fault is a song influenced by early new wave, post punk, and goth. With nods to The Cure, New Order / Joy Division, and the Psychedelic furs, the track's mid tempo danceable rhythm and layered hooks and melodies continue to deliver after multiple listens. Self-reflecting lyrics explore ideas of alienation, self-blame, and social anxiety.

Featuring tones from electronic drums, a Perkons drum machine, Fender bass vi, moog synths, electric guitar, string synthesizer, and ambient effects-laden vocals, the sonics of the track don't disappoint.

If you're a fan of 80s and 90s electronic fueled alternative rock, you're gonna love this track. Enjoy!

We Are The Power

I have always had an admiration of electronic synthesizer music. Particularly that of the the late 1970's and consequently the golden age of the 1980's, where groups like Depeche Mode, Japan, Gary Numan, OMD, Human League made their mark.

A bizarre influence was Mantovani to name a few. 

He was an Anglo-Italian conductor, composer and light orchestra-styled entertainer with a cascading strings musical signature

All these musicians were a great influence on myself and the music I now produce.

Along with the bass guitar, in which in my opinion works so well with this genre of music, I am happy with the sound produced in my compositions.
So here I am, producing my own brand of the quintessence sound.

At the moment - Age of creating Art only under the influence of EXPRESSIONISM. Back to the year 1888 when Van Gogh cut his ear off. That’s how i feel about my music now. Everything is created quickly, all together, without giving it time to rest. Sound is raw and when it sounds like was recorded inside the bunker, that is exactly how it meant to be! No biggie…. Just a little bit of unleashed fucking expression so i can have more music to listen to at work haha
Plan is - to dive deeper into unknown and experiment with music even more and to make weird ass shit that has 0 fans and it disgusts everyone.

Most important - it’s mine, it makes me proud and happy. It helps me overcome depression and other shit that i struggle with. I am happily sharing my music with closest friends, i do not expect any feedback, i will respect any feedback if any appears. I have no intention in creating art to satisfy people or their needs. No honest art - no art at all!

Starfinder is a project by musician Ian Galloway, a member of several past and present punk, garage, and indie rock bands (including garage rock band Porno Mags whose self-released debut album peaked at  number 47 on CMJ in 2014).

Having loved New Wave, Synthpop, and Goth bands such as New Order, The Cure, Pet Shop Boys, Joy Division, Psychedelic Furs, and Depeche Mode since his early teens, Ian decided to focus on electronic music production and writing in his spare time away from playing in bands.
