Druhá řada seriálu The Last of Us skončila svou pouť na streamovací službě HBO Max a kabelovém HBO. V sedmi nových epizodách jsme dostali zhruba polovinu herního druhého dílu, s řadou významných změn z hlediska děje, vyznění i pokroucení postav, jež mnohdy neodpovídají své herní předloze. Byly tyhle změny alespoň k něčemu dobré, anebo se Neil Druckmann s Craigem Mazinem utopili v narativní složitosti herní předlohy a nedokázali k ní najít uspokojivý televizní klíč? 

To všechno řešíme ve čtvrté a v tuto chvíli finální epizodě našich speciál k The Last of Us, kde jsme každé dva týdny rozebírali jednotlivé epizody do hloubky se snahou rozklíčovat, proč k daným kreativním změnám došlo, v čem tvůrci uspěli a kde jsou naopak po první řadě úplně mimo.

Kickoff Folge! Für Staffel 2 wechselt das Team von Jochen & Janna zu Andre & Janna. Wir nehmen uns daher eine Extra-Folge lang Zeit um über Andres Gedanken zu Staffel 1 zu sprechen und Jannas Erfahrungen mit dem Spiel zu besprechen, denn Janna hat „The Last of Us 2“ vor kurzem zum ersten Mal durchgespielt. Bevor wir auch nur eine einzige Folge der 2. Holt das Popcorn und die Golfschläger raus, denn wir starten mit unserer Besprechung von „The Last of Us“-Staffel 2. Uuuuund zwar sind wir von den ersten beiden Folgen so mittelbegeistert. Viele Entscheidungen die die Fernsehmacher bei der Umsetzung des Stoffs getroffen haben, können wir zwar dem Sinn nach verstehen, finden sie aber schlicht nicht so gut wie die Vorlage. Bei anderen wissen wir ehrlich (noch?) nicht, was sich die Beteiligten dabei gedacht haben. Aber in jedem Falle haben wir ausführlich Gelegenheit diese beiden ersten Folgen zu sezieren und zu erläutern, wo aus unserer Sicht die Fehltritte passiert sind und was uns dann vielleicht doch begeistern konnte.

Wer es trotzdem nicht lassen kann (für unbeaufsichtige Selbstversuche wird übrigens noch weniger Haftung übernommen als für die Garderobe), denke sich einfach ein Glas, das gleichzeitig halb leer und halb voll ist, und haue sich anschließend einen stumpfen Gegenstand auf den Kopf.
