The Princess & The Frog - Dr. Facilier's Best Moments

✨ BALA'S VILLAIN STORY ✨

In this story, we follow the events of the film ‘Antz’ as they usually play out. Z begins the film working hard and finally getting to the point where he meets Princess Bala. Z has risked his life more than once in order to save Princess Bala and his friends. He and Bala proceed to be praised as heroes, and are hoisted up on the colony's shoulders.

We get to the ending act of the film, and this is where everything changes. Bala is offered a deal with the supreme commander of the ant military, return his tasks and he’ll grant her everything she ever wanted. She’ll have her ant colony, the dream that Z of winning the heart of the beautiful herself. All she’s ever strived for would be within her grasp. At this point, Bala is at war with herself, to return the supreme commander of the ant military would demanded ants to work hard forever, but if she didn't take it she might never achieve all she has wanted.  In the original tale she refuses the deal, but this is a villain story and she hasn't worked so hard and for so long to refuse an offer that granted her all her heart's desires for a ant.

And so Bala makes the deal. 

She becomes an princess again and returns home to find a letter letting her know that the ant colony was hers, along with a hefty donation in compensation for any trouble caused. Bala signs her love interest Z as her business partner and together they build an empire, creating hundreds of jobs and bringing in visitors from far and wide. 

Z has always been a kind, when he who instantly falls in love with her, and invites him to dance with her. And so when Bala’s sights continue to rise and she begins to lose herself to her ambition, hurting those around her to get what she wants becomes a norm. And Z refuses to see his love interest walk any further down that path. 

But Bala is too far gone, her ambitions have blinded her and she needs more. After all, that’s what the Queen does, she wanted her to succeed, she wanted her to build this palace, didn't she? She can’t stop now, not when she has come this far. And so when an offer is made for a new ant colony, the size of any she's had before, she jumps at the opportunity. And when she was told that making this ant colony would push dozens of families out of their homes? It doesn't even faze her. Bala won’t stop moving forward and if people get in Z's way then they’re collateral. 

Once you’ve made a deal with the supreme commander of the ant military there is no turning back, and she’s almost there.
