As the festival season is in full swing, it's the perfect time for TSR to launch a new Radio. At TSR, we celebrate the connection between people and culture, and this time, we've invited a UK artist whose talent should no longer remain in the shadows of the Dutch house scene. In this edition of TSR Radio, we're putting the spotlight on our passion and love for electro. Who better to present it to you than our friend Tarde Loco?

Based in London, Tarde Loco is a dedicated producer of energetic dance music. He showcases all his musical flavors in a unique live set while also dedicating himself to the art of digging and mixing vinyl. His playful creations are not to be missed, as they drive a new sound forward.

RTK Tarantino is a producer from Bermondsey, South East London, whose sound is heavily influenced by garage and house music. His new unique take on this style has seen his music supported by some of the biggest names in the underground scene from Enzo to Tini, Josh Baker and thats just to name a few.

He started producing music a decade ago under a different name but debuted as Al:chemi in 2022 with his EP “Virtual Reality”, featuring tracks from himself, Nic David, as the duo Al:Chemi.

Since then, he has remixed tracks for a number of artists, this includes his remix 5.0 on 20 Thirty mix which gained RTK a mass amount of traction played all over the globe. His unreleased mix, exclusive to Soundcloud, has also gained huge traction. His latest release is arguably his biggest yet, the debut EP on Doozie Records, featuring well respected producers Wodda & Casey Spillman.

For TSR_RADIO_006, we're stepping things up with a special guest straight outta Buenos Aires, Argentina. We're hyped to welcome our first artist from outside Europe – Guile, also known as Guillermo Morelli. If you’re in the know, you already recognize his impact.

Guile’s been putting in serious work as a musician, DJ, and producer, running the Mirror platform, which holds it down for both vinyl and digital releases. He’s already made waves on labels like Limousine Dream, Proper Grub, Roof Records, Música Lunar, Island Beats, Agua y Sed, and a whole lot more. 

As a DJ, Guile’s got that smooth mix of House, Electro, and Breaks, always keeping it unpredictable and fresh. We’re genuinely excited to have him as part of the TSR journey for this one.

The bass doesn’t arrive. It erupts - like concrete cracking under pressure, like a pulse finally unleashed after being held too long in the chest. Fabio Santos’ "Give Me Some Bassline", the A2 track from "TSR002“"on Nijmegen’s The Set Records, is not a polite nod to the low-end - it’s a ritual, a summoning, a dirty prayer whispered directly into the subwoofers.

No buildup. No frills. No time to waste. The bassline drops in like it owns the place - thick, grimy, unapologetic - the kind of groove that lives somewhere between a warehouse and a bunker. It's the spiritual cousin to the rough-hewn funk of Dungeon Meat or SLABS releases: that no-nonsense, sweat-on-the-ceiling strain of House that doesn’t care who’s watching, as long as your feet stay moving.

But Santos doesn’t stop at the obvious. What begins as a straight-ahead bass weapon soon twists into something stranger. Chopped, Dubstep-flavored vocals jitter around the groove like electrical sparks, while reese bass textures creep in from the periphery - not overpowering, just lurking. Then, mid-track, the whole thing snaps: the tempo fractures, and we’re flung momentarily into a Drum ’n Bass detour - blink and you’ll miss it - a tension spike that teases collapse, only to bring us crashing back into that original house groove, now even heavier from the whiplash.

There’s a kind of alchemy here - not flashy, but functional, forged for the floor. Santos manipulates tension like a sculptor shaving chaos into structure. Every sound is deliberate, every transition sharp, every drop meant to provoke movement, not applause.

"Give Me Some Bassline" doesn’t just supply the bass - it builds a whole mood around it: grimy, kinetic, and irreversibly club-focused. It’s not a track for streaming. It’s a weapon for sound systems. With “TSR002“, The Set Records continues its vinyl-only, Dutch-rooted mission to showcase emerging voices with underground intent - and Santos’ contribution may well be the one that rattles the foundations hardest.

Torture the Artist - your source for contemporary electronic music

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.
