Utah County misfits The Delphic Quorum have been a band since 2009. Over the years they juggled around members almost as much as they do genres up until 2021. When they were finally able to unveil their long awaited occult masterpiece HISTORY - A PEOPLE'S TALE. Which is a mostly instrumental concept album depicting the morose account of former carny turned deranged killer Gidderick Muntz. 

Another break away from the music to help the listener understand about where we're at with our narrative of Giddereick Mutz. The Name Dinah Crunk is a spoonerism members and they're frinds used to use long before this band even existed for Kinda Drunk. For those un aware, a spoonerism is where you swap the front letters of 2 words around. Of course the way we spelled it isn't exactly the way you'd properly spoonerize the phrase "Kinda Drunk" but we had to make some adjustments to make it look like a real name. And of course with a trombonist's nick name like Shlong Bob Von Pief, the name Walter Shlong Bite has been a thing far longer than this sketch ever came about as well.

History - A People's Tale

Walter Shlong Bite

Utah County misfits The Delphic Quorum have been a band since 2009. Over the years they juggled around members almost as much as they do genres up until 2021. When they were finally able to unveil their long awaited occult masterpiece HISTORY - A PEOPLE'S TALE. Which is a mostly instrumental concept album depicting the morose account of former carny turned deranged killer Gidderick Muntz. 

As you might notice, towards the middle of this album the music starts getting harder and harder to explain. Even members of the band have a difficult time with what this song is about, and why they named it that. It pretty much just stemmed from an attempted phrase so eloquently misspoken by Shlong Bob they simply had to keep it. All though this song was one of their firs they ever wrote together, it had actually gone the longest being played by the band without having a name. So that is where it got stuck. 
Also, falling back into the Gidderick narrative, which we've almost lost sight of, this was meant to be the height of his insanity. From 2013-2014 the band had almost completely put together the blocking for a full interpretive dance performance to the entire album which never came into full fruition. During which, our main subject had been incarcerated and attempted to be exorcized by several different religious figures, and escapes again, this time with a multitude of religious and authority figures in hot pursuit. With his mind in a chaotic jumble, he some how manages to shake them off his trail and make his way to his former place of employ in seek of one more act of vengeance as his final coup de grace.

When they were finally able to unveil their long awaited occult masterpiece HISTORY - A PEOPLE'S TALE. Which is a mostly instrumental concept album depicting the morose account of former carny turned deranged killer Gedderick Muntz. 

THEY QUIT AND KILLED HEMSELVES was entitled in homage and loving memory of the band's 2 closely departed members. Angela Moore, who quit the band Feb. 9th, 2013. And Sean "Cherub" Romero, who only 2 days later, doused himself in gasoline and willfully lit himself on fire. He was proclaimed dead Feb. 13th 2013. (R.I.P. 4/26/1990 - 2/13/2013) They had just finished putting this song together and only performed it twice. One of which was Angela's last show Feb. 9th at Muse Music, Provo UT. Which they fortunately had the foresight to record. Since the song still didn't have a name, the next time the band met up Judas was quoted saying " I don't even know what to do with this song since they quit and killed themselves." The Wizard joked that it should be the name of the new song and it just seemed to work.

They Quit And Killed Themselves

When they were finally able to unveil their long awaited occult masterpiece HISTORY - A PEOPLE'S TALE. Which is a mostly instrumental concept album depicting the morose account of former carny turned deranged killer Gidderick Muntz. 

NAKED, NAKED, TOTALLY NAKED! is kind of a hard one to explain. As front man Judas H. Chrypst explains it, "the name comes from a game me and my cousins used to play on the trampoline!" after which usually leaving just a long enough awkward silence to let your mind possibly wonder off to dirty places before explaining it really wasn't supposed to make sense. "We'd just run around the tramp yelling "NAKED NAKED TOTALLY NAKED!" over and over again for no bloody fuck reason at all, while one of us would stand in the middle and pull the others out of the circle and throw them into the middle of the tramp...yeah, pretty stupid."

But the reason for utilizing this phrase as the title of this song had nothig to do with that game, or the art of boing totally naked at all. See, when new percussionist Sean "Cherub" Romero was sworn into the Quorum he had a had time occasionally being wrapping his mind around some of the beats that were being asked of him. So, since 3 of the 4 members are not classically trained, they would sometimes have to use onomatopoeia and use noises or sometimes words and phrases to convey the rhythm that was supposed to be played. In this case, the phrase Naked, Naked, Totally Naked actually helped the wizard with is drum part during the part we've all just come to scream the words. Which by default became the title of this song.

Naked, Naked, Totally Naked!

Which is a mostly instrumental concept album depicting the morose account of former carny turned deranged killer Gidderick Muntz. 

This song EXORCISE M. was also randomly begotten out of an improvisational jam session between original founding members "Judas" on bass, Angela Moore on violin, and Matt "The Wizard" on djembe.

And in this video part of the saga, Gidderick aimlessly runs through the woods in a panic to keep finding himself in even more strange areas deeper throughout the woods he's never seen before. To finally confront what may be a physical demon underneath an old concrete bridge. Or is it all in his head?

Utah County misfits The Delphic Quorum have been a band since 2009. Over the years they juggled around members almost as much as they do genres up until 2021. When they were finally able to unveil their long awaited occult masterpiece HISTORY - A PEOPLE'S TALE. Which is a mostly instrumental concept album depicting the morose account of former carny turned deranged killer Gidderick Muntz. 

This was intended to represent Gidderick's confused drunken walk through the woods to sort of "confront his demons" so to speak on the way back to his baby momma's house to finish the job.

Intermission

When they were finally able to unveil their long awaited occult masterpiece HISTORY - A PEOPLE'S TALE. Which is a mostly instrumental concept album depicting the morose account of former carny turned deranged killer Gidderick Muntz. 

This song DAY 2 was originally titled that due to the founding members Glen Goss and Angela Moore not being able to remember how an improv jam session had gone the day before which they decided they'd make into a song. The next day, when they went to present the song to The Wizard for potential Theremin noise addition, and they couldn't remember it, Judas played a whole different riff he'd been messing around with but never turned into a song. The other's started improvising over it. And they like it enough to remember it this time. 
In the saga of Gedderick Muntz, the name of this song was utilized to portray Gidderick waking up the next day in his baby moma's house where he doesn't realize he'd returned to the scene of the kidnap to finish off his wife. And is then payed a visit by the local PD. Cameoed in the music video by the members of the band. Which you can see here.

On this the only track on the album with any real lyrics, after 2 verses of what seems to be an instrumental, in THE THIEF we hear Judas' raspy voice scraping over the lap harp from first person perspective. Regaling Gidderick's hasty break into his baby momma's house to kidnap his only child and bring him back home.
Only his intentions are not to love and to nurture the child. But to butcher, bake, and devour him in an almost possessed psychotic stupor.

The Thief

Utah County misfits The Delphic Quorum have been a band since 2009. Over the years they juggled around members almost as much as they do genres up until 2021. When they were finally able to unveil their long awaited occult masterpiece HISTORY - A PEOPLE'S TALE. Which is a mostly instrumental concept album depicting the morose account of former carny turned deranged killer Gidderick Muntz. 

In this track THE INTRO, we hear a haggard and eccentric Grampa Melvis riling up a group of youngsters gathered around the campfire in preparation for one of his famous scary stories.

The antics continue between Grampa Melvis, his grandson Arnie, and the angry "fat kid" hazing him in the back ground until Grampa Melvis' story finally subdues the children to shut up and listen. As the tale unfolds a local man who went crazy and took the lives of his wife and first born son, rite in their own home town.

Intro

I CAN ACTUALLY SAY I OWN THE RIGHTS TO THIS MUSIC FOR ONCE! FUCK OFF! 

This is the 100th episode of KWJUDAS featuring the band that started it all on episode one and literally took over the whole radio station from then on.
Our host Judas is also the bassist/banjo and lapharp player and frontman of local musical oddities THE DELPHIC QUORUM who played our vary first episode. co-host The Wizard used to play percussion and Theremin until 2019 and may consider rejoining in the future. And guest Adam Bean plays trombone and didgeridoo. 
Set to record 11-3-2021 and broadcast 11-6-21.

KWJUDAS resurrected yet again through sneaking in a quick new Season 6 at the ass end of 2021 with no idea what's to come this next year. 

KWJUDAS is a semi-satirical radio music talk show that highlights local and underground musicians from around the country making their way through Utah. Giving certain artists a spotlight who may have a hard time getting it else where. Originating from freeradioprovo 87.9 FM in Utah County and freeradioprovo.com world wide. Starring host Judas H. Chrypst, co-host/sound tech The Wizard, and a new special featured guest artist for each show. They are never scripted, and are pretty much never edited.
