Released in 1969, Journey to the Far Side of the Sun is a fun little cult sci-fi film. If you’re familiar with “Thunderbirds,” you’ll recognize the cool use of model special effects used here. The short sell - this is a fun romp through what the future could have been like. The long sell - well, if they had hired actual writers with talent to lay this sucker out, it would have been a classic. As it is, it’s a paper-thin premise with a paper-thin payoff, that ends in a very dark way, but has cool-ass spaceships. Yay!

Kameren Whigham is a Fort Lauderdale native, who began dance training at eight and attended performing arts schools. A Dillard High graduate, he earned a BFA in Dance from UArts, performed with PHILADANCO!, and appeared in Tyler Perry’s A Jazzman’s Blues. 

Kameren joins the show to talk about his career as a dancer, and to also talk about the upcoming production of "The Wiz", at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia on June 3rd-15th, 2025.
