This is my reconstructed Intro of The Girl With Her Head In The Clouds, from Factor B's set back in February at the A State of Trance festival in Rotterdam. After some rabbit hole research, I wound up finding the video of Rick Rubin's dialogue, where he shared his thoughts on creativity on one of Joe Rogan's podcasts.

Let's get this right out there before anything else, a "carronade" is one of those small cannons that you might see on the deck of a pirate ship, as shown in the thumbnail image.  

This song is my effort to translate an ocean going vessel engaging an enemy.  

(Or, it's just a cool sounding downtempo synth rock track that I didn't have a better idea on how to add a vocal to it, so I just repeated an interesting word over and over again.  Oh, and the word "drums" is heard a couple of times, too.)

Both explanations are as correct as they can be...but I'm not sure how much of the fourth wall you want shattered.  

Not every Interbay track has to be deep, you know.  ;)  

I do like how this sounds.  It feels a lot like the direction we were headed back when DangerScience was a thing (which is a band I was in AGES AGO, like just after the earth's crust cooled.)  

I'm making this sound too simple (or perhaps unfinished)--but I worked on getting the sounds of this track the way I wanted them...and there's more to this track than you might expect--little touches and sprinkles of ideas to build into an impressionist's painting of...well, a carronade.  Right?
