I'm thrilled to present my latest 100% Vinyl Mix on SoundCloud. This journey through the electronic cosmos begins gently with smooth breaks and deep sounds, inviting you to embark on a relaxed exploration. It was important for me to create an atmosphere that allows space for the groove and emotional connection with the music. 

With each track, the intensity builds as the mix slowly delves into the depths of Deep House. It was a joy for me to skillfully weave different styles to tell a story that captivates the listener for the duration of a CD :) I hope you can feel the passion and dedication embedded in each transition.

The climax of the mix was a special moment for me, as Funk House and Tech House seamlessly merged. The driving beats and intricate melodies reflect my enthusiasm for these genres, aiming to take you on a compelling musical journey.

Finally, the mix ends with a melodic house finale. The beats soften, and the melodies guide you to an emotional level. As summer in Berlin gradually winds down, we're excited to welcome our friend Ali Schwarz to take over the September edition of our podcast series. Ali and our co-founder Michal first connected on a DJ trip to Kiev last September, and their shared experience quickly blossomed into a friendship that leaves us eager to see what the future holds.

Long before he became the globetrotting DJ he has been for the past 25 plus years, Ali Schwarz was a painter at heart. Studying at the Akademie der Künste/Academy of Arts in his hometown Stuttgart, he was set to dedicate his life to painting. The emergence of electronic music, specifically house music, changed all that in the early 90s. Turntables and drum machines replaced canvases and paint, clubs replaced galleries and vinyl became the most important currency in Ali’s life. Now, over 30 years into an illustrious, ever-expanding career as a DJ, producer and remixer, Ali Schwarz returns to his first love.

Rewind
When Ali opened his first club On-U in Stuttgart back in 1989, house music was still fresh and deeply underground. Little did he know, that he’d not just help establish a thriving club scene in his hometown, but eventually become a bonafide DJ star with his brother Basti as Tiefschwarz. After On-U closed in 1993, the parties continued at Red Dog, a new club which ran until 1998. It was during those formative years, the idea of Tiefschwarz was born. Red Dog afforded the duo the space to hone their craft as sonic storytellers. Taking to the studio (to remix Ultra Nate’s classic „Free“ no less) was the next logical step, as was relocating to Berlin in 2001, where they eventually started their own label Souvenir Music. The rest, as they say, is history. Releases on Francois Kevorkian’s Wave Music, Derrick Cater and Luke Solomon’s Classic label and Four Music, including four studio albums, as well as remixes for for Masters At Work, Ultra Naté, Freaks, Isolee, The Rapture, Cassius, DJ Hell, Missy Elliot, Depeche Mode, Roxy Music, Madonna and Kelis established them as hot property for two decades - well beyond the sweaty dance floors of underground clubs.

Anti-Atlas
When the Covid-19 pandemic turned the world upside down in March 2020, forcing clubs worldwide to close and grinding social and cultural life to a hold around the globe, Ali slowly but surely started revisiting painting. The passion he had once felt standing in front of a canvas returned. It became clear to him that he was in a process of transformation. Becoming a father to his daughter Indigo only reinforced that sense of shifting gears. Coincidentally, in 2021, while most of Europe was still in lockdown, Stuttgart’s Stadtpalais/ Museum für Stuttgart held an exhibition called „Dance Till You Popo“ — a tribute to Tiefschwarz’ early beginnings and lasting legacy. For this exhibition renowned artist Tobias Rehberger rebuild Ali’s first club On-U as an art installation. Looking back on his impressive career from his humble beginnings to his jet setting life as part of Tiefschwarz, the exhibition felt like a natural moment for him to pivot and to focus, for now, on his solo projects.

Ali found himself spending more and more again painting. With every stroke, the idea for a new creative outlet formed - this time as a solo artist. Named after the Moroccan mountain range, Anti-Atlas is his new project that merges his love for music and art for the first time. In part inspired by the birth of his daughter Indigo, Anti-Atlas is the new umbrella for much of Ali’s activities. It is a platform that connects his music, art and digital art in a new hybrid form. His first solo exhibition in Berlin in Spring 2022 was called Anti-Atlas, and so is his new label, which had its inaugural release „Indigo Schwarz“ in April 2022.

Tiefschwarz is the name of a pair of German brothers from the Techno scene... I don't know much about them, but I discovered them thanks to their productions... very particular and that have had a lot of success! I've never listened to them live, but it's definitely worth it, since I like their sound! Here is the first part of their set in Italy, in 2007!

Farik's passion for music was ignited at a young age when his parents gifted him a small Casio keyboard and a little recorder with a microphone. He spent hours experimenting with them, and the melodies and recordings he created were like a window to his soul. Later, when he scraped together his confirmation money, he bought his first computer. It was an ugly, big, gray box, but for Farik, it was a gateway to boundless creativity. With his new tool, he began to explore the world of music, and his curiosity led him to sounds that were off the beaten path.
His style evolved into a fascinating blend of digital precision and analog sensibility. He effortlessly traversed genres like house, Deep House, Chicago House, NY House, and Breaks, always seeking new ways to express his musical vision. The versatility of his tracks and sets reflected a deep-rooted passion for the craft.

Samir Kuliev was born in Baku Azerbaijan in 1979. At the very young age he showed the interest in arts and studied at the Baku School of Choreography. In 1990 when the war broke out in Azerbaijan he and his mother migrated to Krasnodar, Russia where he graduated from Krasnodar Theater Institute and started his career as an actor.

In 2000 Samir moves to Moscow and performs at the different theater venues. During this year Samir was introduced to an incredible word of electronic music and spins his career a different direction. From then on he works as a full-time DJ and organizer of unique parties around the Moscow-city.

In 2007 Samir introduces his own radio show about electronic music titled “Chustvo Ritma” (Sense of Rhythm) on Moscow radio station Megapolis 89.5 FM. In a few years the show gains a popularity and becomes one of the best radio shows about electronic music in Russia and the rest of the former USSR. The most famous artists, musicians and Dj's, such as: Solomun, Sasha, John Digweed, Nick Warren, GusGus, Hot Since 82, Guy Mantzur, Sahar Z. and many others great persons were presented as a guests at this show.Today, Samir's «Chuvstvo Ritma» one of the most popular radio show in Moscow, being supported by more than 20 radio stations.

In 2014 Samir starts a record label “Chustvo Ritma Rec” (Sense of Rhythm) where he produces his own music and tracks of the talented Russian artists creating music in progressive, deep, techno styles. 

In 2016, the monthly show "Sense of Rhythm" appeared on the Frisky radio station in New York, where Samir plays a variety of electronic music for his listeners around the world.

In 2016, Samir became a participant in the international ADE conference (Amsterdam Dance Event) by playing a special set on the dance floor of Frisky radio along with such artists as Just Her, The Third Son, Wild Dark and others.

In 2018, Samir's track "Running up that hill (Tribute to Kate Bush) was supported by Solomun at the FrameWork Festival in Los Angeles and at Tulum in Mexico. Nowdays Samir is not only a participant in many Russian and foreign festivals such as AFP (Russia) and Episode (Vietnam). He is also the organizer of his own parties in the best Russian clubs such as Gazgolder club (Moscow), Chauteu de Fantomas (Moscow) Heaven (Moscow) and others.

Currently, Samir is full of ideas, dreams, and passion for electronic music and is open for co-operation. He wants to expand the scope of dance culture and believes that electronic music can express the deepest thoughts, emotions, beauty and true human greatness.

Background
Tini Tun was born and raised in Mexico City, in 1990, along with his brother DJ Quecho, he formed one of the most important electronic bands in Mexico called Conditus. They composed several tracks like “Move Your Hands in the Air” and “Neptuno” which were released on several major dance compilations in his country.

National Experience
A year later at the age of 15, Tini Tun began his DJ career playing at the first rave parties in Mexico City, with excellent response from the audience. He became one of the pioneers of progressive music in the Mexico electronic scene. From then on, he has played around the country in all major cities like Monterrey, Guadalajara, Tijuana, Puebla, Cuernavaca, Morelia, Chihuahua, Culiacan, Merida, Cancun, Acapulco, Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, Playa del Carmen, among others. Every year he is invited to play at the legendary BPM Festival in Playa del Carmen.

International Experience
Today, Tini Tun is asked to play around the world for his rapid career record and impressive impact on the international audience. He has played in several countries like Costa Rica (Contacto Parties), Peru, Argentina, Guatemala, El Salvador, the UK, Switzerland, Prague, Russia, Canada, Puerto Rico, the USA and South Korea. 
After becoming a member of the prestigious Balance Record Pool back in 1997, he performed in several festivals and clubs across the US at The Mardi Gras Festival in New Orleans, San Francisco (1015), New York (Twilo), Chicago (Crobar), Los Angeles (Giant), Colorado, Virginia, Atlanta, Seattle, Minneapolis and Las Vegas.

International Events
He has appeared at the Ministry of Sound Sessions for the UK Radio broadcasted on several radio stations in North America.
In the year 2000 Tini Tun played in front of 15,000 people at the ACA World Fest in Acapulco with an excellent performance.
In 2002, John Digweed shows Tini Tun as the first Mexican DJ, to be on his radio show Kiss FM in London, having a great response from the radio listeners.
In 2013, John Digweed invited him again for his radio show called Transitions.
