The time ticker is the mechanical alarm clock that was part of our reconstructed Carcassone table, recorded at the Brussels Pianofabriek in 2010, the ECG beeps in Tijd Stuk 1 follow the distances between entrypoints as given by sudoku solution 202007. accentuated by the squeaks of the cemetery gate in a small French mountain village and me on the bicyle in Amsterdam, some time in 2005, part of the lofi-field recordings that were also used  for my 'Zuivere Slaolie' album (2006: https://soundblog.bandcamp.com/album/zuivere-slaolie)

Tijd Stuk 1 (Sudoku 7)

Together with my dear friend @drawswithpaws I remixed @kounterandmilk's incredible track: Mechanophobia.

For this remix I decided to take a more storytelling approach. I've been wanting to attempt to recontextualise my electronic music into a more theatrical setting and focus, and with this song I feel like I've taken the first step to doing so. By being very on the nose with the things I mean with my music I hope to invoke a reaction from the listener that makes them think about the topics at hand. 

The main focus of this remix is the looming presence of Artificial Intelligence in artistic fields, and how it basically steals from artists without any compensation, driving them out of their work, and killing the influx of creative and fresh ideas along with the self expression that comes with them. AI can only replicate what it's learned, often using pieces without the consent of the original artists. AI is killing real creatives.

The Polcore drop is heavily inspired by Loffciamcore, although I did try to give it my own spin. The fact that I mostly make bass music probably also contributes to the fact that it sounds different mixing wise.

Thank you Myla for helping me out with this project. Remixing the cover art to go along with the song I feel adds a lot of depth and emotion to the tune.

Waarom te laat komen niet altijd een teken van desinteresse is (en wat het wel zegt).
Wat zegt te laat komen echt over iemand? In sommige bedrijven gaat letterlijk de deur op slot alsof je te laat zijn kan fixen met straffen.
