What better way to kick off our 10th year as an imprint than have the two troublemakers behind it all, Tik&Borrow, release their first EP in 18 months on the label.

This one sees the duo harnessing a techy sound palette in their production, from the interwoven drums of lead track 'Sable' to the subtle key progressions in the outro of title track 'Revolution', the pair have clearly been enjoying the process of bringing other musical elements into these tracks without sacrificing what makes them, well them. This is on show the most with the third original track 'Avril', which sees the duo step far outside of their usual sound, utilising sparse soundscapes and techno rhythms alongside 808 thumps and breakbeats, to create something truly unique but in keeping with the vibe throughout the EP.

On remix duty we are delighted to welcome our brothers Saraphim to the label to give their twist on lead track 'Sable', and boy, are you in for a treat. They take the original and add a bit of spice as only they can, turning it into a wubby roller that is the perfect closer for our first EP of the year.

The Tik&Borrow Show on SUB FM: Kamer's Guestmix

We welcome back our breaks wizard Ekula for his second EP on the label following the excellent 'All Night EP' back in 2020, and here we see a continued evolution of his sound, blurring together breakbeat, dubstep and rave into a deliscous melting pot that makes up his latest effort 'Ravestep 101 EP'.

First up we have the title track that is pretty well explained by said title, with rave stabs and synths driving the song along with breakbeats delicately cut throughout to really push the 140 breaks vibe Ekula is becoming famous for. 'The Owl Song' is more down the dubstep vibe with a clear 2-step beat accompanying the breakbeat and some wicked sampling that really showcase the producers ear for taking something and flipping it in a unique way.

For the remixes we are first of all chuffed to welcome back Charla Green to the label, as she puts her excellent talent to the title track, turning it into an absolutely wicked jungle refix that had us bouncing round In:flux HQ the moment it hit our inbox. The second remix is by our devilsome duo and founders Tik&Borrow, who take 'The Owl Song' and give it a breakbeat makeover, combining their neuro sound design with something altogether different for the pair, channelling synthesis, arps and progressions unlike anything they've incorporated before, something that is a welcome addition to the duos arsenal.

For our 82nd outing we are pleased to welcome North American producer No Remorse to the label for his debut EP, following on from his storming remix on SHVA's 'Solid Ground EP' last year.

The producer doesn't disappoint here with two barnstorming originals that both draw heavily from an eastern sound palette, something we loved as soon as these two tracks hit our inbox and they've been in constant rotation on our Subtle Radio show ever since!

On remix duty we have two In:flux regulars and first up it's that dastardly duo Tik&Borrow again, giving 'Temple' a bass heavy rework with plenty of low end wobble accompanied by their signature neuro design. Second of all it's our favourite cutlery-named producer Fork and Knife back on home turf to give the title track 'Sidewinder' a full on FnK UK Garage flip, and it is glorious. What a way to close out the EP!

Juno EP Review: With a strong catalogue of both bass and dubstep behind them over the years, we always get excited to see a new outing from the Tik&Borrow boys, a duo that have constantly wowed us with their system-ready creations. Joining forces with Dread Or Dead for this latest drop, we are greeted with an immediate sense of grizzly potency as 'Disintegrate' kicks us off with a subby slap to the face, followed by the glitchy percussive mastery of 'Lord', another whomper, jam-packed with low-thudding energy. Next up, the remix section, as Basura & Persy firstly arrive to give 'Disintegrate' another gnarly spin off, with Imakemusicbtw then sending 'Lord' down a much more stripped back avenue. Very tidy indeed!

We're pleased to welcome Fork and Knife back to In:flux Audio for his fifth EP on the label, following on from last year's excellent 'Ride and Die EP'.

Fork and Knife has come through again with three choice cuts that have everything you'd expect from a Fork and Knife EP. 'Rhode Island Red' kicks off proceedings with those distinctive mid-wobbles, 'Bantam' brings more of his percussive-melody vibes, before closing out proceedings with 'Tongues' going in on the percussion like a man possessed.

On remix duty it's our pesky founders Tik&Borrow giving their treatment to 'Tongues'. Taking the percussive elements of the track, they've given it a dub-techno style twist with plenty of moving subs and acid synths aplenty to close out the EP with a bang.

We're back and pleased to welcome Kampah to the In:flux Audio family with a sublime three original tracks that blew us away when we received them earlier in the year.

We kick off proceedings with the aptly titled 'Grott', which snarls and twists through heavy bass to get the EP off to a fine start. Title track 'Light Source' is up next which continues the wonderful distorted bass design but this time through oscillation accompanied by some extra excellent synth work. The last of the original tracks is titled 'Unconscious Mind' and this one is all energy and a lovely change of pace to help bring the original tracks to a conclusion.

On remix duty it's our devilsome duo, back from their own hiatus, with a remix of the opening track 'Grott'. They've taken the bassline of the original track and applied it through some granular synths to put their neuro-dubstep spin on the original.

Our founders Tik&Borrow return to In:flux for the first time since January 2023 with a couple of sublime deep cuts that show a soulful side to their sound.

Title track 'Flowers' kicks of proceedings with an almost trip-hop vibe across a typically intricate T&B beat. The second track 'Terminal Velocity' is a much more stripped back affair, but one that will give those speaker cones a workout, with some lovely atmospheres helping drive the track along.

We invite one of our favourite producers right now for remix duty, with Basura stepping up to the plate to give 'Terminal Velocity' a flip into a more energetic 140 rave version, containing all the breaks and bleeps that made Tik a very happy man upon hearing it for the first time.
