The name,"Groove was in the House", is a play on "Groove in in the Heart", the 1990 hit by Deee-Lite. It's called this because it has a throw-back hip-hop/funk/dance vibe. It's the first track on my new album, "Time Shift" (2023), which is about the stand-out things I remember from growing up, amongst them, my favourite songs and groups. This track bridges the 1990s sound with today's EDM and Melodic Techno, shifting it from vintage to current. Bass Instrumentalist (composer and producer): Luke Garfield.
