'Tardus et Stabilis' is latin for 'slow and steady', which was the inspiration for this piece, a reference to the fable 'slow and steady wins the race'. It uses slow moving passages, using synths and strings as the core driving force, with pitch bends and slides to provide some unnatural textures.

For this soundtrack I created infinitely accelerating and decelerating risset rhythms, programmed and recorded an acoustic self-playing piano, wrote a program that generates rhythmical patterns by shifting the tempo of every instrument by a few milliseconds, worked with a 130 year old audio recording and tried other ways of messing with your perception of time.
