Φ Session 004 — Zetaka

Another chapter in my VS. Series. Basically a best of featuring 2 artists back to back to make it a little more unique!  Todays session I mixed 2 of the longest lasting producers of Progressive  who continue to evolve and still make new music today! To stay relevant in any genre is amazing but the hardest part for me was to try to choose which tracks to add out of the hundreds from over 20 years to choose from.

ZEppaP is French composer, dj and producer of electronic music
His style skilfully handles German influences, American groovy and the lightness of minimal music.

Teen bassist, from a rock, new wave and electronic music culture. On the occasion of a meeting in a vinyl shop,
 Laurent Collat (Elegia 'Fcom) opens his sound studio to him and the doors of this technology, in the wake of joining
 booking agency Radikal Groove as a DJ in the mid-90s alongside Miss Djaxx, Dave Clark, Dave Angel, Freddy Fresh, Woody McBride....

His career is marked by multiple collaborations with other artists including Jérôme Pacman, Jef K (silvernetwork), Freddy (scream), 
Sébastien Bromberger (Modelisme), Olivier Daric (Euterpe) and  my mate Julien Parisé (Mister J) from the Missive label with whom he worked in the studio for 4 years on composition, influenced by the work and rigor of Richie Hawtin, with musicologists, he refines the writing methods on spatialization and the spherical movements of frequencies before writing his 1st album scheduled for December 2023 for digital & march 2024 with Yoyaku distribution for vinyls
At the same time, he tests and participates in the development of new mixing software with his sponsor MixVibes 
(creator of the time code final scratch technology, Eric Guez)

HAVING SPENT MOST Of MY TIME working & THE GUVERNMENT in Toronto CANADA. (NORTH AMERICAS BIGGEST NIGHTCLUB IN THE GOLDEN YEARS OF EDM 1998-2008) I was lucky enough to see & work with every known DJ you can think of including Tiesto, SeamAn ,DeEp Dish, Armin,  an so many more. Along with our LEGENDARY RESIDENTS mARK oLIVER, mANZONE & Strong, aDDY as some of my biggest influences I play every kind of Genre and call it G.J. EDM or Genre Jumpin . PLEASE CHECK OUT MY Hierarchy Of House Classic House/Progressive/EDM series which ended up being the soundtrack of my time in the Incredible Toronto  Music/Club/Party Scene from 1995-2010.  Mixed live No headphones, no practice, no cue points, just a few chosen songs & some  random and then mixed in any order with a lot of loops, samples and always started with my now famous intro's (those with a keen ear will probably pick up I stuck to keeping everything as harmonically in key as possible). There is rarely a moment that a single track is playing mostly 3-4 lol. No post editing or fixing, this is the mix as it came out all one take start to finish, so this means mistakes intact.
