Die Berliner Musikerin Masha Qrella begann als Bassistin von instrumentalen Postrock-Bands. Dennoch spielen Worte auf ihrem Album "Woanders" eine große Rolle. Qrella hat Texte des früh verstorbenen DDR-Schriftstellers Thomas Brasch vertont. „Woanders“ ist aber weit mehr als eine Hommage an Thomas Brasch.

"Woanders“  fasziniert durch die popmusiktaugliche Modernität und Klasse von Braschs Texten, die wunderbar mit dem reservierten, aber selbstbewussten Ton von Qrellas Stimme harmonieren. Es lässt die unbestimmte Sehnsucht nach einer Zeit anklingen, bei der nicht wirklich wichtig ist, ob sie tatsächlich besser war. Oder schlechter. Oder einfach nur anders.
