Exactly 8 years ago, on the 25th of October 2017, was the official release of Virtual Self's "EON BREAK" single, which broke the EDM Internet with Porter's new alias and sound direction. Expressing a genre labelled as "Neotrance" influencing countless producers/musicians at the time, opening the digital gates of nostalgia towards everything Y2K, DDR, Beatmania and Japanese Trance/Artcore in general.

Needless to say, I was one of those nostalgia driven creators...and while I had initially covered this track in 2019, I had wanted to reanimate the old mix with an updated approach in structure, synth design, heavier guitar tones and overall improved mix.

I hope you dwellers of the wired enjoy my new take on this timeless banger, and here's to hoping Animeboi potaro himself brings back the Neotrance hype once again in the near future! 🙌🌐✨️

English Translation:

She lives in a reality filled with pain every time she comes home, she faces abuse and is treated like she doesn’t matter. Her love life is uncertain, blurry. She doesn’t know who she loves, or if she’s even capable of being loved.
To escape the pain, she turns to getting high it’s her only way out, even if it’s temporary. But now, someone new has entered her life. He’s gentle, kind, and makes her feel seen. He becomes her new high  a sweeter addiction, but one that brings its own confusion.
