Also, Papua-Neuguinea ist ein hochdiverser, postkolonial resistenter Raum mit über 800 gleichwertigen Sprachen, und jede davon ist ein unverzichtbarer Beitrag zum dezentralen Wissenssystem der Menschheit. Wir müssen uns davor hüten, die kulturellen Ausdrucksformen dieser Communitys mit einem exotisierenden Blick westlicher Projektion zu überformen. Wer da von 'Flucht aus dem grauen Alltag' spricht, bewegt sich gefährlich nah an einer Appropriation strukturell unterdrückter Narrationen. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass wir das kolonialhistorisch reflektieren – und Raum für Empowerment-Dialoge schaffen, am besten im intersektionalen Kontext.
