Tripura
, meaning three cities or fortresses, is described in Hindu history as being constructed by the great Asura architect Mayasura. They were great cities of prosperity, power and dominance over the world, but due to their impious nature, Maya's cities were destroyed by god Tripurantaka or Tripurari, an aspect of Shiva.[1] The three cities were made of gold, silver and iron and were located on the heaven, earth and underworld planes respectively.


The three cities were mobile and moved in such a way that they would never be in a single line, except for a few moments in around a thousand years, when the Nakshatra Pushya would be in conjunction with the moon. Tarakasura's sons were thus reassured that they were safe, as it would be an extremely difficult task to destroy such impregnable cities, which aligned only momentarily, with but a single arrow.


As the war raged on, devas continued to struggle to match the asuras, who used their magical powers to great effect in the war. On the day when the three cities aligned. Shiva ordered that a chariot be made from which he would battle the three demons.


When Shiva seated himself upon the chariot before heading off to war, the chariot was unable to move forward due to the Lord's weight. Coming to his aid, Vishnu first assumed the form of a bull in order to set the chariot in motion and, once this had been done, became the bull banner flying atop the chariot. The destruction of the three cities accomplished, Siva stood upon the ruins and began to perform the great dance of Tandava Nritya (known also as Tripura Nasha Nartana) by which (as Nataraja, Lord of the Dance) he alternately calls the cosmos into being and banishes it into non-existence in an endless cycle like the beating of a heart. [2][3]


Shiva immediately regretted his act, since he had forgotten to protect Mayasura, architect of the three cities and a great devotee of his. Realising this, Nandi raced ahead of the arrow and informed Mayasura of impending doom. The great architect lost no time in fleeing Tripura, leaving behind the fabulous cities he had constructed, before they (along with their inhabitants, the asuras) were reduced to ashes by the great arrow of Shiva. This destruction of Tripura, led to the bestowing upon Shiva of the epithet Tripurantaka (transl. 'He who brings'/'brought Tripura to an end').


Then the gods went to Vishnu, who came up with the idea of causing them to sin; then there would be a good justification for destroying their cities. Vishnu made a man with a shaved head and a cloth covering his mouth, who began the Jain religion. The three demons became followers of this religion, and stopped worshipping Shiva. In this way, it was felt that they had left the truth and had taken up a false religion. (It is thought that the story of the Tripura must be an account of the destruction of a historical Jain city.)


The thousand years were up in any case, and Shiva agreed to destroy the three cities. Since the cities could only be destroyed by a single arrow, Shiva aimed a single pashupata, or magical weapon, which went straight through all the three cities, burning them to cinders with a single blow.

Psyrob is a project from near Cologne, one of the strongholds for electronic dance music.

Robin Bauer has been gaining experience in the Goa scene since 2012 and was enthusiastic about the spirit and love that is celebrated at events of this kind. While he focused exclusively on "Goa Trance" subgenres until 2018 and thus approached mixing, he opened himself up to all genres from that point on. 

To this day he practices an open style and does not commit himself to a specific genre of music. Rob wants to create musical journeys and messages that get to the center of the listener's heart.

In addition, at the end of 2019 he reached a spiritual turning point on his journey, which still has a major influence on his music today. 
Psyrob gratefully embraces the technological gifts of the Aquarian Age and is ambitious to let his creative energy flow fully into his music and to reach others with it.

Currently he is focusing on downtempo projects. Rob loves creating live mash-ups and combining different genres in a limitless way. His goal is to convey messages with each of his mixes and to interact directly with the conscious or subconscious of the listener.
