The Spell was written as a part of my Songs Written In A Day Study.  I wrote and recorded it together with Dave Nelson at his studio in The Hudson Valley.  The entire process including writing, tracking, mixing, and mastering took about two days total!

Visual art and Music can actually do without words, it does not need a title or explanation. It is not a matter of reason but more an inner one observation. Listening without words.

Art work by Mark Rothko (1903-1970) and Anselm Kiefer (1945) have had an inspiring influence on the composition of this work.

Dutch composer Paul Frankhuijzen (1956) calls himself a composer of natural movement. 
Paul often uses various socio-cultural issues as inspiration for his work. Thereby the main 
theme is not confrontation, on the contrary, it is the inspiration. 

Paul studied the following subjects:
composition ad Tilburg Conservatory by Daan Manneke and Alexandru Hrisanide and Sonology ad 
The Institute for Sonology in Utrecht. 
lessons in singing Early Music. 
Ensemble directing and orchestra as practice teacher with Jac Van Steen. 

He composing for different festivals and ensembles.  For example Mondriaan quartet, Monica Germino, Mantagni quartet, Novermusic festival, Festival of New Adeas Cambrridge University.



Timothy Lee Miller is an American composer, orchestrator, arranger, and publisher writing contemporary classical and jazz music, as well as film and video game music.

Emanuel Ayvas is the frontman and principle songwriter for the Brooklyn group Emanuel and the Fear.  He also co-leads the band Pale Ramon, and the group Ayvas and Baller.
Ayvas also composes music for Film/TV/Theater and founded/runs The Listener School of Music in NYC.
