The call for reparations dates as far back as the late 19th century but reparations have yet to materialise for many of the world’s peoples.  In the 21st century, the movement for reparations has found a new energy and the discourse is shifting as states band together to seek reparations with greater urgency.

Patronella NQABA, Program & Impact Lead (Africa) at the Atlantic Institute, facilitates a conversation on Africa Day, 2023 about the frameworks for global equity and reparations, focusing on building a culture of repair.
