This music is part of a cycle for voice, tuba and piano. Based on a story by the legendary musician Roger Bobo, published on his blog.
This piece is based on the story "The Trinity"(Tokyo, Japan. Late September, 2005) of the legendary musician Roger Bobo.
When I read this story on Roger's page on his blog(http://wwwtemp.rogerbobo.com/narratives/index.shtml), I immediately heard the music and I wanted to turn the story written on a piece of paper into a musical story, in which Roger's memories, the sounds of a tuba, and a piano would be intertwined.
At this time, the covid-19 pandemic began… It was very difficult for us to organize the process of the recording. Roger had to record at home, I am very grateful for his efforts, I know it was not easy for him to do.
Having written the music, I decided to turn to two wonderful Israeli musicians - Principal tuba player of The Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion - Avital Handler, who was a student of the maestro and a wonderful, talented pianist Anna Kavalerova. It was not easy, because our work was stopped by two lockdowns. Sometimes it seemed to me that we were not destined to finish the recording.
The day Roger sent me the last recorded part of the story, I rushed to the sound engineer Yaron Aldema to finish the mix of the project. In October 2021 Roger Bobo started a tour of America and Europe and the release of the musical version of “The Trinity” was to take place after his return.
But something went wrong and the tour had to be interrupted. I hope Maestro will recover soon and be able to continue touring, but for now, I would like to ask you to support him.
By downloading this piece from the link, in which Roger Bobo shares with us an episode from his life, it will be easier for him to get through this period knowing that you are with him. Dear tuba players, many of you are Roger's pupils and you are undoubtedly part of a large family of musicians!

Soundscape made from field recordings and loops extracted from a live recording of the song Sereia do Mar (Seamermaid), by Brazilian female composer Babi de Oliveira (1908-1993). A game of marine images reprocessed as if played by hesitant pianolas. An internal dive. Signs and calls to Yemanjá, waves of memory. The contemplation of a sunset to the sound of whistles from imaginary ships. Sound collage. Participating musicians: Giulia Grabert (piano); Tatiane Reis (soprano); Thiago Bernardes (tuba); Jefferson Silva (percussion). Piece created for the artistic performance The Art of Sailing, by pianist Giulia Grabert, IA Unesp, São Paulo, 2019.

M.A.R. começou a existir em 2019, como paisagem sonora (live mix) para uma exposição coletiva na galeria do IA Unesp. Numa gota de água salgada, o oceano; num loop, uma jornada interior. Anseio de reencantamentos, fecunda memória. Além de gravações de campo, feitas na praia de Juqueí, e de breves registros históricos de Murray Schafer, trabalho aqui sobre alguns compassos tocados pela pianista Giulia Grabert Baronovscki Leshem: fragmentos da canção "Sereia do Mar", da compositora e pianista baiana Babi de Oliveira (1908-1993). Propulsão delicada (desejo, amor), monotonia sagrada (contemplação, o filho das estrelas); deslocamentos submarinos de uma longa tuba ao revés, pianolas hesitantes avançam. Após a tempestade, o chamado profundo a Iemanjá. M.A.R. nasceu como um diálogo interdisciplinar com o recital de formatura de Giulia, e com o espetáculo que ela idealizou e dirigiu na ocasião: "A Arte de Navegar”. Foi também adaptada para a exposição “Música e Artes em Revisão”, realizada simultaneamente em julho de 2019, na Galeria Alcindo Moreira Filho - IA Unesp.

Hello everyone! I'm a hobbiest musician, composer, arranger, conductor. I've been playing the piano since I was seven, and have picked up several other instruments along the way. Through life I've been hesitant to let others hear my work, but due to recent feedback from others it seems that people like what I do, thus I'm sharing with a broader audience. Please let me know what you think! I hope you enjoy everything you hear.
Typically I compose and arrange for full, large orchestras of 80 pieces or so. However, there are a few smaller ensemble pieces that I have done for chamber groups to sell in online marketplaces. Growing up as a Christian I have noticed a huge hole in music for large orchestral arrangements of Christian/Gospel music, and I've dedicated a lot of time of the years making large orchestral arrangements of this religious music. In addition to the religious music you will find a lot of Disney arrangements, some for orchestra, some for chamber groups, and even a few for marching band. When I was in high school, there was such a lack of Disney music available for marching band, so I've set out to fill that hole.
Since I just launched this sound cloud account, I will be working to add more completed tracks as soon as I can.

ANNA SEGAL, Composer 
Critically acclaimed composer Anna Segal belongs to a new generation of classical composers: An unusual, versatile composer in various disciplines – Symphonic and Chamber music, solo concertos, Lieder with Orchestra, Choir works and even Chansons. Her compositions were already performed in many countries.

Born in Ukraine, she began studying piano and composition at the age of 5. After graduating from music school and college with degrees in piano and musicology, she later studied composition at The Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine. After immigrating to Israel, she studied at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and graduated in Composition (M.A.) under Prof. Ami Maayani.

Anna Segal is a member of ACUM and The Israel Composers' League (ICL). She is a recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship. 

Her works are regularly performed by many orchestras, ensembles and soloists: Berliner Symphoniker (conducted by Maestro Lior Shambadal at The Berlin Philharmonie), London Mozart Players Orchestra, Ukraine National Philharmonic Orchestra, The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, Irkutsk Philharmonic Orchestra, Daego Chamber Orchestra (Korea), Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra, Kamerata Kiev Orchestra, Ensemble Mendelsohn(Belgium), Czernowitz Philharmonic Orchestra, Velvet Brown(USA), Rachel Talitman(Belgium), Wolfgang Weigel(Germany), Jean – Marc Fessard(France), Uwe Komischke (Germany), Ramon Jaffe (Germany), The Israel Stage Orchestra and Baskent Chamber Orchestra in Turkey – among others. 

Other highlights include her chamber piece "Overtones of the Night" – that won the first prize, and was performed at the Modern Music Festival in Korea and in 2009, "Cabaret Macbeth" (Dir. Dani Ehrlich) – that was performed as part of the Experimental Art festival in Tel-Aviv and at Felicja Blumental Music Center (2011), music for the award-winning movie "Night Shift" (Dir. Slava Lesov), music for the Cantango Berlin Ensemble, a series of especially-developed Family Concerts that were performed in many countries etc.
