The modern world moves fast. Too fast. There’s no need to go to the record store anymore - just download the Beatport Top 10. No need to spend years learning to beatmatch, the sync button’s got you covered. No need to train your ear for harmony, Rekordbox shows you the key. No need to think about timing, auto loops will make it fit. And who listens to a full mix anymore when algorithms reward 30-second clips? With every new feature, every software update, a little bit more of the artistry dies.

Remember the days when DJs spent years digging through crates to find that one record that made them feel something? When you saved your hard-earned money to buy a piece of wax for your collection? When you learned to ride the pitch, to keep two tracks locked in time by feel alone? When you listened to keys, phrasing, and energy without looking at waveforms?

Rafal aka RaFFski is a young man who visited London for the first time not that long ago. Since then he has been going deeper underground to explore scorching sounds of acid techno.
Managed to neck 15 cans once but it ended up with smashed headphones.
DJ and promoter based in Manchester. With his partner in crime Joe, both are organizing multi genre nights of techno under the banner of Manchester Techno Collective.
Parties involved local talents like TimG, TSH, Kazek and Xela to showcase a vast spectrum of underground electronic music to a broader audience.
They've already shared the stage and decks with Benji303, Mick Beatle, Medicine Man, Nog, Sted Hellvis and Kami Lee.

Raf has started his adventure with DJing in 2022 after meeting Kazek in work who made a massive influence on the decision and has been Raf’s mentor since.
Raf made a debut in a series of internet radio shows run by Rachel RC. 
Since then he swapped controller for turntables and works tirelessly to hone skills and deliver the best acid techno in Manchester.
Who knows what the future will bring?

Twenty five years ago I bought my turntables with my high school graduation money, and still got’em. Best therapists money could buy. Bass-Head or whatever that kills it. DnB, minimal dubby dubstep, glitch mid-tempo bass, bass funk, tech house, acid, electro, garage, and two step of course. I can trap yah, scratch and beat juggle too. Crunk is cool! Right now remix tracks into new. Blues with a ragga jungle ridden, hip hop acapella on DnB, heavy bass breaks with techno, flipping the stylus upside down and blowing your mind as I get it to play flipped and fucked with. I love to work while I play. Not perfect sometimes intentionally, but not always. It’s ok, I know how to operate all the controllers and CDJs too, and I enjoy mastering and sound design. I am novice with full start to finish production as I am learning to read script music because it’s badass when people record them playing the different instruments as building a track. Thats work. Ciao!
