We met Nickodemus about 15 years ago in Barcelona at a common friend's dope music basement and tasty Mexican restaurant called Dostrece. We were already big fans of his music and his globe-trotting gigs when we got to shake hands with this good man. But getting to meet the person Nico Simone behind the revered artist Nickodemus, only increased our admiration and respect for him. He is not only an outstanding DJ and a very accomplished producer of global beats, but most importantly he is a compassionate, beautiful, peace-loving human being who understands the power of music to spread love and break borders. His worldwide touring schedule (managed by himself) is dazzling, millions of miles travelled across the world on a noble mission to spread positive vibes and unite peoples through the transforming power of music. Gwandena original song by TIMPANA (Bolivia), is an energetic fusion that takes rhythms of the Bolivian Saya Afro and Tobas of the Bolivian Amazon along with the tribal and mystical voices of Timpana with electronic elements, rhythms that takes Apelika (Morocco) that leads to the dance floor with colors and stronger shades in electronic music. Turntables on the Hudson takes this track to launch it to the world making a first collaboration with Bolivia and Morocco.

Having become an essential contributor to Latin America's underground music scene, trained performer and actress Alejandra Lanza continues her folktronic adventure with the album Gwandena.  Here, the artist tells us the story of Talina,  a girl of the Guarani tribes, who is called for a spiritual and initiatory journey by a hummingbird.
