House Fusion Radio | Guest Mix Set - August 2025

Recently i’ve been inspired by SHM playing some of their old hits at Tomorrowland and Creamfields, along with clips of Third Party sticking to the sound they’ve always loved. 

It got me thinking that this period of dance music isn’t shown enough respect. It’s the time when DJ’s where taken from clubs to huge international festival stages, and prime time on radio and TV. Whether you think that’s good or bad it’s led to the dance music we have today. 

Back then even Radio 1 used to hammer these bigroom/progressive House tracks. To the point i remember Pete Tong playing Lights 3x in one 2 hour show because of the listener reaction.

I hope one day we’ll look back at these tracks like we do with classic trance and House now. Because some music then was amazing and isn’t looked at fondly enough.

I know there’s a lot of tracks missing so there may be a pt2. For this one i tried to stick to some of the less commercial tracks of this era

Sam Orlick (professionally known as "Samwell", "DJ Samwell" or "DJ Samwell VO") (born 29 November 2002 in New Jersey, USA)

The freshly new, rising DJ/Singer/Voice Actor/Producer/Content Creator/YouTube personality has the remarkable skills to take his crowd on an energetic journey that has all the feels. Sam is the DJ, lead vocalist, and frontman for both Daft Lucario and Dash Wolf. As well as 1/2 of Master Twins. He is highly aware that his success comes hand in hand with the love of his fans who have always supported him and remained loyal throughout his career. This heartwarming and lasting support is one of the key drivers of his journey. The DJ has a preference for emotional, nostalgic, energizing quality dance music and loves to bring that across on stage.

2016-2017
Growing up in a family with a profound love for creativity and media/entertainment, it was inevitable that Sam's path would start here. His middle school music teacher taught him and his twin brother, Tyler (aka Tydal/MultimediaLucario) how to create music via GarageBand when they were 12 years old. From that moment the brothers became known as Daft Lucario. For two years, the brothers struggled to find their sound and were originally considering on pulling the plug.

2018-PRESENT
Thanks to the brothers befriending fellow New Jersey based DJ-producer, Georgy Talavera (better known as Zanny Duko) when they started high school, Daft Lucario began to finally find their sound and flourish. In recent years, Sam announced that he will begin a solo alias and a side project called Dash Wolf with Zanny Duko. To top it all off, Daft Lucario has done a handful of private events, and on 11 October 2023, they officially made their public debut by closing out the "Beats Bartenders Brushes" open deck night hosted by New Jersey-based DJ organization, "Get Down DJ Group". They would be a direct support act for Nico Oso during that same event just 9 months later.

On July 5, 2024, Daft Lucario & Zanny Duko made their festival debut at HYPERGLOW Asbury Park at House of Independents where they closed out a sold-out show to 500 people which is House Of Independents' maximum occupancy.

It was also recently announced that Sam and Tyler spun off Daft Lucario's open format/house music into a new alias called @MasterTwinsOfficial for private events. 

In December 2024, after the final show of the 2024 leg of Daft Lucario & Zanny Duko's first ever tour, "Legends of The Feels Tour", Sam decided to pursue an additional career in voice acting for animated characters. He auditioned for 6 characters in Utah-based Studio Zubio's upcoming series, "Bunderkin" spearheaded by ex-Dreamworks technical director, Stephen Candell. It has been his dream since age 5 to pursue a career in the voice acting industry, so auditioning was a no brainer. 

From that Bunderkin audition, Sam met voice actors, John Cav & Damian Ryan, who would later cast him in his first official role in animation for the upcoming indie adult animated series, "Hard Evidence".

Reports are also stating that Daft Lucario & Zanny Duko are rumored to play at Miami Music Week in 2026 for @SurfingDJs and maybe even an Ultra Music Festival debut marking yet another new milestone in the careers of both entities.

Samwell, Daft Lucario, and Dash Wolf are currently gaining momentum in the scene with even greater things on the horizon.

Kash Mihra is the artistic name of Sérgio Silva, a Portuguese electronic music DJ and producer, born in Porto. He began his musical career in 2006 and released his first official track, "Full Decibel", in 2012. Over the years, Kash Mihra has produced and remixed several tracks, standing out in the electronic music genre. Among his most popular releases are "Angels" (2022), "Take the Pill" (2023) and "Lose or Win" (2024). Daft Lucario is a Mexican/American DJ trio from New Jersey, USA & Oaxaca, MX made of American brothers, Sam & Tyler Orlick (better known as Samwell and Tydal/MultimediaLucario) as the American frontmen, and Mexican producer, Will Bautista as the Mexican frontman and producer. 

Originally a duo, At age 2 in 2005, the two brothers watched the movie, "Madagascar", which heavily featured the song, "I Like To Move It" by Reel 2 Real & The Mad Stuntman, which was the very first Electronic Dance Music track they had ever listened to. 

Many years later, at age 12 in 2015, They started listening to songs such as "One More Time," by Daft Punk which was the song that grew the brother's love for electronic music as a whole.

1 year later, At age 13, on February 16, 2016, Daft Lucario officially started to join the dance music game when they were in music class in middle school. However, because they had some technical difficulties with their sound, they originally ceased operations from 2017 until late 2018 when they were inspired by their best friend, @ZannyDuko to restart their career.

They're signed with their label Spectrum Music (a neurodiverse talent-focused dance music label/joint venture of Sam Orlick's company, "Universonality Media & Entertainment, LLC" and "Alamo Records", an imprint of Sony Music Entertainment). Right now, Daft Lucario is rising in the dance music game, improving their sound over time. They're Inspired by bigger artists like Alan Walker, NWYR, Avicii, Martin Garrix, Olly James, Daft Punk, Zanny Duko, SaberZ, W&W, Jeffrey Sutorius, Dash Berlin, KEVU, and Armin Van Buuren. One of their biggest dreams is to perform mainstage at Ultra Music Festival, EDC (Las Vegas, Mexico & Korea), Tomorrowland, Coachella, HYPERGLOW, A State Of Trance, ADE, and more. They specialize in the Mainstage Trance and Mainstage Techno subgenres of the electronic music scene.

On April 11, 2021, Daft Lucario announced that @wil-bau joined the group as Daft Lucario's producer and third member, making the duo into a trio. 

On November 1, 2021, Daft Lucario's frontmen, Sam & Tyler Orlick launched their side project / joint venture with American DJ-producer @zannyduko consisting of the Progressive Mainstage Trance (a subgenre popularized by @dashberlin) called, @dashwolfofficial. Daft Lucario is still continuing alongside Dash Wolf to this day.

On October 11, 2023, Daft Lucario did their very first public show & closing set at the "Beats Bartenders & Brushes" Open Deck Night, organized by Hoboken-based DJ group & booking agency, @Get-Down-DJ-Group marking a new era for the group. They would be a direct support act for Philadelphia-based DJ, Nico Oso during that same event 9 months later on June 11, 2024.

On July 5, 2024, Daft Lucario & Zanny Duko made their festival debut at HYPERGLOW Asbury Park at House of Independents where they played a sold-out show to 500 people which is HOI's maximum occupancy. They hope to perform again for the 2025/2026 edition of the festival.

In December 2024, Daft Lucario spun off their open format/house side into a new project called @MasterTwinsOfficial in an effort to distinguish their projects from each other. Their American frontman, Sam has also recently delved into the voice acting industry for animated characters with him auditioning for a total of 6 roles in indie animation company, Studio Zubio's upcoming series, "Bunderkin". From that audition experience, Sam met voice actors Damian Ryan & John Cav who later cast him as a recurring character named DJ Heard Ya (as well as various other characters) in the upcoming indie adult-animated cop comedy series, "Hard Evidence", the pilot episode of which is slated to release sometime in 2026. He also voices 2 characters in the upcoming indie project, "Apple Crush" as Beau & Dexter which is currently in development.

On May 19, 2025, Daft Lucario signed onto a partnership with Chilean management company and talent agency, Instinct Management for festival bookings as well as Amaru Events for club bookings.

Reports are also stating that Daft Lucario & Zanny Duko are rumored to play at Miami Music Week as a direct support B2B act for @SurfingDJs and possibly Ultra Music Festival in 2026 marking yet another new milestone in the careers of both entities.

The future ahead is looking very bright. Whether it is under Samwell, Daft Lucario, or Dash Wolf, the music isn't stopping anytime soon.
