I met this week's guest recently and we been yapping about dnb non stop....talking about all kinds of stuff really ..he's hilarious and a genuine force of positivity in our community. Representing Texas and North America at large, please welcome J. Augustus. He's a Producer, MC, DJ, and a highly sought-after Host of events. He has worked in various facets of the music industry, including lo-fi, hip-hop, Boom Bap, Drum and Bass, and other underground subgenres. He has been a staple in the Texas live music scene since the late 90s, cementing his talent and ability to connect with his audiences, bringing his own originality to the table. With that, he founded Quaziscience Recordings to showcase his production and offer a platform to other artists across the globe. His exceptional skills have earned him a place on lineups and shared stages with numerous acts like J Boogie, KADILAK, Jel, Kid Koala, GOLDIE, BLACKMILK, SPIRIT, Red Man, KLUTE, Too Short, LIONDUB, Esta, Nicky Blackmarket, Sango, EMPRESS, Mellow Hype, AK1200, Mr. Lif, MC ASTRO,  FALCONS,  GENERAL MONKZ, Rev Kathy Russell, Merrick Brown, Freestyle Fellowship, and DJ Craze. 
The year 2024 has seen J. Augustus hit beatport charts top 20 with a strong release on ROLLED UP RECORDS entitled DEEP SEATED on the labels winter mixtape series. J has also had two big releases on KEVLAR UK and sister label K2.  REV THE BUZZSAW EP, and thethen FROM THIS POINT FORWARD with featured artists GOOD SHEPERD and MC ASTRO. J. I haven't had the opportunity to meet this week's guest yet but I hope to at some point. She's a whole vibe and my new favorite DJ. I have been playing this mix almost every day since I got it 2 months ago. The amount of raw soul coming through is really special. Please welcome Toyacoyah. She's is an indigenous DJ known for blending ancestral rhythms with modern breakbeats. She began her DJ career in the late 90s at the University of Oklahoma, curating beats for her own drum and bass radio show. After moving to Austin, Texas, she became a resident DJ for Mental Note, a night dedicated to liquid funk and jazzy drum and bass. Now based in Chicago, she continues to share her passion for fast-tempo music across the Midwest. Toyacoyah has performed alongside top producers like Addison Groove, Luke Vibert, LTJ Bukem, Roni Size, and Tim Reaper, delivering sets that span electro, breaks, juke, jungle, and more.

Jungle Bells is upon us! here it is...the week of and the excitement is palpable. Just about everyone that has anything to do with dnb in America will be in attendance for the BIGGEST BADDEST party of the year. It's difficult to articulate how special it is. Because of this momentous occasion, We thought an American Junglist exclusive was in order! Please welcome Mississippi's own, 360 Degrees.
  
Ever since he discovered the turntables in 1996, his passion for jungle and hip hop has been a shining force, providing a solid foundation for his current endeavors with Mississippi Drum & Bass, Rolled Up Records, And Patrol The Skies Music. 
  Known for being a pioneer in the Junglist Movement throughout his native Mississippi and the entire Southeast, 360 has built an impressive resume with a long list of accomplishments and associates. In 2001, he was a runner up in Rawkuts National Mixtape Contest and in 2005 won first prize in a Regional Dj Competition. In 2002, he played the Legendary State Palace Theater (New Orleans, LA). Since then, he has been touring across the U.S.A. playing such legendary nights as Respect Thursdays(Los Angeles, CA), Breakbeat BBQ(Orange County, CA), DnB Tuesdays(Seattle, WA), Upgrade(Orange County, CA), OC DnB(Santa Anna, CA) and New Orleans, LA’s very own Jungle Punch. He has also been very thankful to be direct support for such one offs as the infamous Jungle Bells Festival(Atlanta, GA), Elevate Drum & Bass(Atlanta, Ga), Off The Grid Festival(High Desert, CA). He is honored to have played at such legendary clubs as Norad Dance Bar(Denver, CO), The Baltic Room(Seattle, WA), and The Dragon's 
He is known for setting dancefloors on fire throughout the United States. With a Turntablist approach to the mix to keep the dance floor jumping. He keeps the crowd on edge and wanting more. Known for brilliant intros, smooth blends, and his technical mixing skills. Take that, in combination with precision builds and double drops while beat juggling, scratching and cutting. He has managed to set himself apart from the label of your average dj. While remaining humble and ever present within EDM and its community.

BLANG has been riding the decks since 1999 and has been steadily playing out at clubs and raves for over 20 years! Smashing out dance-floors show after show and has appeared on countless online radio shows, such as bassdrive.com and dnbradio.com; furthermore, has also hosted his very own drum n bass fueled radio show for 3 solid years at Cal State Fullerton’s Titan Radio (titanradio.org). He gained an appreciation for electronic music back in the mid-90s in the Los Angeles underground rave scene.

His mixing skills are intelligent, creative,and skillful with his acute way of transitioning tracks and dropping big bass and heavy beats. BLANG manipulates anywhere he can, keeping busy behind the decks in his mixes and live performances. Showcasing a wide range of skill, musical knowledge and taste… BLANG is always freshening up his sound and continuing to bring the heat, set after set!

TL is a passionate and evolving DJ based in the vibrant Triangle area of North Carolina. With a strong foundation in the EDM community, TL brings a unique and immersive approach to the decks, specializing in Liquid Drum & Bass.
