Sabo’s record label, Sol Selectas presents a mystical organic house EP by Jean Vayat which also features a remix from Emrat. 

Jean Vayat is a Ukrainian artist currently living in Los Angeles, United States. He has a nomadic style that blends sun drenched melodies with uplifting synths and flowing percussion. This is his first solo release on Sol Selectas following contributions to 5 of the imprint’s compilations, and it solidifies him as a core member of the label’s artist family. Jean Vayat has also featured on other respected imprints such as Go Deeva Records, Harabe, Baikal Nomads and Shango Records.

On remix duty, Emrat is a Ukrainian artist from Kiev making his Sol Selectas debut following tracks and remixes on other respected imprints such as kośa, Hoomidaas and MONADA. His style blends Arabic influenced melodies and traditional instruments with enchanting electronic sounds.

The EP's title track, "Changes" opens the release with acid bass stabs and a pulsating arpeggio synth that forms a foundation for Arabic strings and a haunting vocal by Mohsen Neshom.

Track two, "Good Morning" is a psychedelic track with spiralling synths, trippy vocal textures and a warped flute that adds to the track's hallucinatory vibe.

Third on the release and last of the originals, "Trayam Bagam" is a percussive cut with cinematic vocal chants that add to the epic sound of this invigorating track.

Emrat closes the release with his remix of "Trayam Bagam," which is an atmospheric version that strips back the percussion and adds additional synths that help create a more majestic version.

The cover by Helia Jamali takes us through a portal, to a parallel universe of constant changes.

Musical Reflections and The Kool Katz..

Jess Pulgarian—the artist now known as Bionix—found his musical destiny on the streets of West Alameda, California. There, amid the city's rich cultural mosaic, the beats of acid techno and hyphy hip-hop mingled with the legacy of 90s West Coast hip-hop. It was a golden age, and for Jess, it was an education. He didn't just listen to the city's rhythms; he absorbed and remixed them.
As a young Latino nicknamed “Breeze” by his crew, he built his world of sound from the ground up, turning salvaged electronics into beat machines and blending hip-hop's soulful storytelling with futuristic synths. This love for tech and tunes fused into a sound that was raw and utterly original: cyberpunk hip-hop, a collision of urban grit and sci-fi sonics.

Through years of grinding, odd jobs, and late-night sessions fueled by scraped-together savings and a second-hand laptop, he earned his stripes. As the artist "Glazzes," he electrified underground clubs and spread his sound across platforms like SoundCloud and TikTok, drawing listeners in with tracks that showcased both rawness and finesse.

Fame brought new challenges—the pressure to evolve and to navigate the industry without compromising his creative vision. But change has always been a catalyst for Jess, not a compromise. Now, as Bionix, he continues to push boundaries, building a career rooted in sonic innovation and community impact. His career is a testament to his dedication, supporting his family and uplifting others through his music. Looking ahead, he plans to launch music workshops in his hometown of Alameda, passing his journey and skills on to the next generation of creatives.

Music is more than sound for Jess; it's his lifeblood, his compass, his constant evolution.
