I had an epiphany on 10/31/23, that there was a beautiful young adult in the wilderness I was uncle to, a treasure I've known since she was a year old, for whom I ought to be doing much, much more. I wrote this song that night, for Catalina Benitez, my star.

The 8th September was the 6th anniversary of the passing of my very dear friend, Rachael, so as her birthday is also the 21st of this month I was moved to compose this music, not just in memory of a lifelong spiritually conscious lady, but also as a celebration of her life, her wonderful being and her so beautiful spirit.

What I remember most about our platonic love-based relationship was that it was totally undemanding, neither party ever wanting anything from the other except authentic communication, thus it was always just a natural flow of mutual respect and for me a deep unconditional love. I feel that love right now and (to quote Gurdjieff)  in all of the separate spiritualised parts of my entire common presence! I feel privileged to have known such a very special and spiritually astute being, plus also that Life has granted me the ability to create something special to honour her most radiant and loving spirit.
