Codex Recordings proudly unveils a bold new release from its label head Spartaque, who bridges two sides of his artistry, the raw power of Spartaque and the vocal-forward energy of his alter ego As Ide. The result is "The Way We Do", a techno track that fuses modern production with a nostalgic soul.

With this release, Spartaque set out to channel the spirit of the 90s, not just in mood, but in sound design. The synth lines, though crafted in Serum 2, were carefully shaped to echo the textures and tones of classic rave and early techno records. The result is a unique fusion of past and present, a track that feels both familiar and future-facing.

The vocal, defiant and unapologetic young female energy, delivers a message of youth, individuality, and stepping outside the norm. It's more than a hook, it's a statement, a reminder of what it means to move through the night on your own terms.

Spartaque, As Ide - The Way We Do

Tronik got into the electronic music scene at a young age and started visiting the local nightclubs at the age of 15. At 17, his DJ education began by playing techno, tribal and hard techno sets in local Austrian clubs in his hometown (under his birth name- Daniel Nikolic).
His residency at Space Graz became a top after-party destination for clubbers in the area. As word got around, Daniel's fame grew, leading to a residency at Technobase Events at Helmut List Halle Graz in 2007 and he played with acts such as: DJ Preach, Joey Beltram, Jeff Amadeus and Claude Young. After successful nights in Graz, he moved to Vienna where he DJed in clubs such as Camera Club and the famous Flex Club until 2015.
After 10 years in the scene he took a break (children and family) until 2019. In recent years he has concentrated on producing and since 2024 he has been playing techno again in local clubs and Europe. 2025 he started releasing his own music on his label Nexus Beats.
