There's an emerging trend in placemaking: equitable infrastructure. When large investments are made in streets, transportation systems, bridges, and tunnels, it can uplift, reinforce, and build community and culture. There can also be investments in a community's social infrastructure — which is reflected in the design for a new YMCA in downtown Boise, Idaho. Based in Worcester, Massachusetts, his doctoral work has been focused on the ways that Black Colleges invigorate their communities - and how their closure affects the economy. He is committed to spreading the word and working with local communities to develop and invigorate themselves, building for a better tomorrow, today. It's been decades since he began the work he has turned into a career. Moses Dixon began in a political career as a legislative fellow, and he put in many hours towards improving diversity and aiding several major figures. Outside of his work, he has been active with veterans affairs and the YMCA.

Currently, Moses Dixon is the CEO of the Central Massachusetts Agency on Aging, an organization focused on enhancing the quality of life for older individuals and caregivers alike throughout central Massachusetts. The Agency seeks to provide a variety of services to older citizens, including legal assistance, transportation, nutrition, and crisis intervention.
