Joaquín González was a cornerstone of the national champion 2001 Miami Hurricanes football team. The offensive lineman went on to play four seasons in the NFL — three with the Cleveland Browns and one with the Indianapolis Colts. Today, Joaquín is president of the family business he joined after football, Tire Group International, a Miami-based tire distributor.

In this episode, recorded via Zoom, he and Mike talk football, leadership, business, and the lessons they've taken from each of those. Also, we start this episode with Mike telling a story about how he chased a guy for several blocks for spitting on one of his restaurant tables.

Hurricanes hall of famer Joaquín González on football, adjusting to the NFL, leadership in business

Simon Howard, professionally known as SiHow the Doctor is an emerging independent hip-hop artist out of Santa Cruz, CA, although during the last decade the rapper has called San Jose, Boston, Milwaukee, and Cape Town, South Africa home. Currently residing in Miami, Florida, SiHow draws inspiration for his music from his diverse lived experiences going from “EBT to PhD,” being a social psychology professor, travelling, and his musical influences Dead Prez, Nas, and J.Cole. His music is an auditory extension of who he is as a person: multifaceted, multidimensional, and authentic. His debut single “One Life (Blue Sky),” produced by J. Random, is a feel-good reminder for the rapper himself as much it is for his fans, to live the one life that one has to the fullest and to never let your time here pass you by. Charlie Dennard (b. Nov. 3, 1969) is a North American keyboardist, composer and arranger who is currently the musical director for Cirque du Soleil's "Totem". Over the last 20 years Charlie has performed and recorded internationally with a variety of jazz, blues and world music ensembles as well as theatrical productions. From 2002 to 2007 Charlie was the assistant bandleader and keyboardist for the Grammy nominated Cirque du Soleil show “Alegria” and with them successfully performed over 1,700 shows in 12 different countries. Before joining Cirque du Soleil, Charlie received his Masters Degree in Music from the University of New Orleans in 1998 where he was a jazz piano student of the legendary Ellis Marsalis and in 1992 Charlie earned his Bachelors Degree in Music Media and Industry from the esteemed University of Miami.
