original demo of undertale halloween hack's final boss theme. taking inspiration from over the garden wall i wanted to give it this sort of taunting, playful feeling at first. i kept none of this, obviously, but the one thing that stayed was the concept of the song breaking the conventional style of the album partway through in a similar vein to Porky Means Business. im very happy i didnt go with something like this waltzy track

one of two themes i considered using for napstablook in the very early stages of undertale halloween hack. this is from the point where i really didnt have a consistent vision for the project so its earthbound-styled.

wheres the other one? 
I'm not really feelin' up to it right now, sorry.

in the end, as the album's vision became clearer, napstablook and a possible theme for them became an afterthought. (they're still around though, dont worry)

before much was conceptualized for undertale halloween hack, i wanted to have this motif of voices in the soundtrack that would slowly dwindle as the story went on, to represent the shrinking monster population. you can still kind of hear this in the snowdin theme, which is one of the few remnants of the old stages of the project that i kept for the final album release, haha. i searched through a bunch of old accapella songs to find a sample, and i dont remember what the sample even was. sorry

i know its cringey to do a pepper steak esque song for a project that has even a remotely edgy tone. dont blame me, blame myself from 2024 ok?

this is the earliest area theme that was composed for the project. i think it might have been the Ruins? the concept i think was that the antagonist/murderer started very close to you and it was supposed to be adrenaline pumping. very very glad i changed this later... i cant imagine what the story would be like if it started like that
