Adventure sounds like THIS

Tzayla has spent her life traveling the world, collecting over 20 instruments, and blending the sounds of different cultures into her music. She calls it World Indie Pop—a fusion of the foreign and the familiar, just like her: a Filipina, Mexican, and German artist living in the States.

Through her music, she brings cultures together and invites listeners on a journey—one that sparks curiosity, opens new perspectives, and inspires exploration, both of the world and of the soul.

I don’t write songs in the traditional sense. I prioritize sound and theme over grammar or logical narrative. I often look between the moments we usually skip — the pauses, the loops, the unfinished thoughts.

It’s immersive, like film music — but you have to imagine the film.

I listen to myself. I write down what the song says.
Sometimes it says:
Can. Can’t. Fight. Bite.
Sometimes it says:
Text the moon, please.

You’re not supposed to “understand” it.
But you’re welcome to feel what it means.

This style — I sometimes refer to it as Beat Listened.

MIM PAQUIN (she/her) is a dynamic New York-based award-winning actress, voice actor, singer, composer and writer across all media. She was born and raised in New Bedford, Massachusetts, a city with a rich maritime heritage and vibrant cultural scene that has shaped its artistic spirit for generations. A fifth-generation performer who began performing at age five in a fully staged musical production. Mim studied acting, voice, and dance at The Boston Conservatory on a full musical theatre scholarship.     Originally from the historic old “whaling capital of the world,” her natural specific American accent carries a unique blend of punchy local flavor and worldly, knowing expressiveness. She is often compared to the voices of Scarlett Johansson, Sigourney Weaver, Jennifer Anniston, and Cate Blanchett and often asked to deliver authentic soundalikes of famous elderly actresses. She is best known for my soundalike as Julie Andrews as Lady Whistledown in Bridgerton. She does not impersonate, she emulates, presenting the voices as real and grounded, not comedically. She is a voice actor building a character from the ground up. Mims says, "I respect Julie Andrews’ career journey and admire her. I just happen to have that voice that can do that thing. Likewise, is my soundalike of the late Angela Lansbury. Women whom I admire. I may not have gown up in Vaudeville, but I to started on stage in staged musicals when I was five years old. I also happened to study voice with Marni Nixon in NYC, (that trivia is merely a coincidence that musical and film nerds might appreciate reading.)"

    She prefers voice acting work that is character-driven using voice-acting abilities and range. She really enjoyes documentary narration too. She is versatile and open to all types of work.
