Bringing Global Rhythms to all festivals: A Fusion of Latin, Brazilian, House, Breakbeat and Bass Music 

I aim to introduce a fresh and exciting flavor to all festivals, blending the vibrant rhythms of Brazilian and Latin music with the hypnotic pulse of House, Breakbeat and Bass Music. By fusing the rich percussive elements of Brazilian Funk with the driving energy of electronic beats, I want to create a dancefloor experience that resonates deeply with both traditional and modern influences. This fusion invites festival-goers to experience the warmth of Latin culture and the infectious grooves that make these rhythms so universally captivating.

The connection between these musical styles is more natural than it may seem. House, Bass music and Breakbeat have its roots in community and culture, and much like the Bailes de Favela and Samba Circles of Brazil or the Fiestas of Colombia, it’s about bringing people together through movement and emotion. My vision is to elevate this connection by incorporating sounds and mixes that speak to the global sounds of Latin America, while maintaining the deep bass lines and steady flow that House music, Breakbeat and Bass Music fans crave.

By bringing this unique blend to all festivals, I hope to offer a musical journey that not only celebrates diversity but also opens up new avenues of creativity on the dance floor. The result will be an electrifying set that bridges cultures and unites the audience through the universal language of rhythm and groove.

Ben Chemikal (Ben Hodding) is a DJ and Dance Music producer from Duncan BC, known for various genres, but mainly focusing on House and Garage throughout the years. Past remixes and releases have seen ventures through glitch hop, dubstep, DnB, and trap. More recent edits and remixes are leaning towards the faster side of things, in no small part to starting a hard dance project under the production name Liftr around 2018.

Around 2022 there was collaboration between Ben Chemikal and The Wiseguy which culminated in the track Burnout.. in the proceeding months this sound evolved into what's known today as the Rabbit Hole Records Crew, featuring The Wiseguy, Aambrosiaa, Xavier Francis, alongside myself on production detail as well as a solid crew of team members and supporters forming a collective that's guaranteed to move dancefloors and make waves. 

New in the circuit is independent vocalist Lux who has joined with Ben on his latest original tunes in a new yet unnamed group capacity, with a style and sound set to hit like no other.
