Konturi presents its 6th Exploration series sample library - Erica Synths SYNTRX!

The SYNTRX is a beautiful instrument developed with experimental electronic music in mind. In this sample collection, we provide you with conventional techno and melodic techno loops without sacrificing Erica Synths' concept.

Tweaking SYNTRX's patch matrix and pushing its diode filter to the limits, we've recorded 50 synth loops at 128 BPM that will unleash your creativity. Our usual list of API, Black Box and Manley gear was used for further processing the loops into exquisite sonic realms.

Unlike the traditional transistor filter, the diode filter of SYNTRX is found in very few synthesisers and these loops will add new timbres and extra depth to your contemporary electronic music.

All loops are key-labelled and come with corresponding MIDI files.

Konturi - Exploration 06 Erica Synths SYNTRX

While reading Allen Strange's Electronic Music: Systems, Techniques and Controls, I was inspired to explore the VCS3 parameters (using the Erica Synths Syntrx clone) to see what focusing on what the tools can do as they interact, rather than actually trying to do anything intentionally. This improvisation was just edited to remove repetition, oh, and I added reverb.

Expansion card for the KS with standard CV/gate/trigger outputs and CV processing functions such as portamento and transpose and output for the KS' sequencer internal clock.

A happy owner did this track and detailed the patch (quote) :
"all facilities of the card activated 
just only i played bass afterwards on top, rest sequence is entirely card 
bass was octave downed 
you really tuned it just perfectly 
2 sounds 
1 sound is played by KS sequencer using envelope and outputs on 1 
the other sound in on other output , volume off , and envelope opens the volume of this output inverted (by the way makes so much sense why they made outputs inverted haha) 
so ks sequences envelope also playing output 2s volume 
while doing this , playing the real time one , makes notes progressions 
you can see on the video , its the same patch 
on the card , glides and octaves activated 
inputs for oscs are totally routed by the card as progressed signales on input 1 and input 2 .
both sounds having totally different set of parameters by the ks card 
drums are a drum machine plug in in ableton 
ableton detects tempo of audio input on a given channel , (i routed headphones output of synthi to a dedicated input of sound card only for tempo detecting purpose) 
so once you have a ok recording on KS , as perfect as possible ,  drums at computer are following it 
the patch is this . i dont touch it since a while . 
its just perfect for double sound melodic playing
this card is an essential , as essential as one makes 20 mods on synthi
because really , its impossible to go back from this to stock ks setting .
it just quadruples the KS , and if you are ks lover no brainer .
and i simply take better timed recordings by reading from bar meter instead try to look at vu meter , that you couldnt look at the keyboard while playing recording ,
was something difficult for me to practice "
