Alessandro Ventura è un compositore contemporaneo italiano (Roma, 1987). Dopo anni di attività come chitarrista moderno, si avvicina allo studio della composizione e si diploma nel 2023 al conservatorio O. Respighi di Latina.
La sua ricerca combina le novità timbriche e formali della musica contemporanea degli ultimi decenni a suggestioni che gli vengono da diverse musiche etniche. Nelle sue composizioni troviamo figure e gesti che interagiscono quasi come esseri viventi all'interno di un ecosistema, ma anche reminiscenze melodiche dal sapore arcaico. Centrale in questo senso è la ricerca di intonazioni inconsuete all’ascoltatore occidentale, stimolata dallo studio della musica di Gérard Grisey ma anche, ancora una volta, dalle cultura musicali etniche. Questa ricerca tecnica si coniuga ad un immaginario poetico rivolto all'antico, all'unione tra sacro e natura, alla fascinazione per la ritualità.
L’interesse per Grisey lo porta alla pubblicazione, nel 2025, dell'articolo Organizzazione spettrale, processo e forma in Solo pour deux di Gérard Grisey sulla rivista scientifica peer-reviewed Analitica.
Convinto della necessità di un dialogo con la musica colta del passato, affianca la produzione di nuova musica allo studio dei classici, che rielabora in composizioni originali.
