pulled that blade from a crimson cage
blood sang loud through a rusted page
choked on vows in a kingdom fake
built from charm and a silk heartbreak
you kissed like thrones but your crown was cracked
each touch wrote lies that you never backed
i scaled your myth with a heart in shreds
fought your fears while you made new beds

i feared the beast but it came in pearls
i should've feared the girl who twirls

i climbed that tower just to bleed
thought you'd want the fight in me
but you just watched me break and crawl
like love was never yours at all
you ain't a prize you're just the test
i ripped that knife out of my chest
i'm still alive still on my feet
i'm not your fool i'm not your repeat

i wrote you songs from a hospital bed
while you danced in heels left my texts unread
the night my son was lowered down
you laughed in bars across the town

you played the saint while i went numb
you always knew what you'd become

i gave you love that bent and broke
you turned it down laughed like a joke

you watched me fall from that cursed height

i was already dead at the castle gate

not your soldier not your flame

the throne you sit on's built on bone

another prince your pain abused
