Veckans avsnitt av Sanity Check belyser valresultatet i Österrike, där det högerextrema Frihetspartiet (FPÖ) fick flest röster, vilket väckte stor uppmärksamhet. Christoph Hofinger är opinionsundersökare och prognosmakare, mest känd från österrikisk TV på valvakorna där han presenterar valprognoser. Han är chef vid Österrikiske FORESIGHT-institutet och tidigare president för European Association of Political Consultants (EAPC). I avsnittet delar han sina insikter om väljarbeteenden och aktuella politiska trender, så som inflation, missnöjet med vaccintvånget under pandemin och den ilska som bidrar till ökat stöd för populistiska partier som FPÖ.

Avsnittet utforskar även idén om att ”vara en igelkott eller en räv” vid politiska prognoser. Igelkotten fokuserar på en enskild central idé, vilket ofta ger mindre flexibla prognoser, medan räven anpassar sitt tillvägagångssätt efter flera idéer och teorier för ökad träffsäkerhet.

Whithe, an electronic musician from Slovakia, Bratislava, stands at the forefront of the Slovak electronic music scene, crafting immersive and experimental ambient/dance tracks with a distinctive touch of analog equipment. Since the inception of his career, Whithe has traversed a sonic landscape that spans from captivating soundscapes to the more concrete and club-oriented sounds of contemporary techno and future garage.

His musical journey began in 2015 when he participated in the Redbull Bass Music Academy in Prague, an experience that opened the door to the realm of professional music production. Whithe's dedication to his craft has led him to collaborate with renowned labels such as Mango Alley, Insight Music, Imminent and Nama Recordings, showcasing the global appeal of his unique sound.

Noteworthy milestones mark Whithe's trajectory, including a pivotal tour in 2017 alongside Fjordwalker, followed by a successful second tour in 2018 with Jimmy Pé and Bulp.

The year 2024 holds special significance as Whithe gears up for the release of his highly anticipated debut album, promising an exploration of new musical realms. His "Accidents EP," received acclaim from critics, hailed as a globally resonant piece of work. One of the tracks, "Mistakes," secured a coveted spot on the renowned YouTube channel MrSuicidesheep, further solidifying Whithe's position in the electronic music landscape. 
Throughout his career, Whithe has had the privilege of supporting acclaimed artists such as Kiasmos, HVOB, and Vitalic, showcasing his versatility and prowess as both a producer and performer. His influence extends beyond the studio, as he has also held the position of resident DJ at the esteemed Subclub in Bratislava, curating unforgettable nights for electronic music enthusiasts.

Originally from Bordeaux, we have been evolving for 7 years in the world of electronic music. Many projects at the local & national level have allowed us to collaborate with different Djs, collectives, labels, festivals, alternative places... Our motivation has always been to make music accessible, with eclectic and pioneering content.

Here’s a little story about a trio of janitors. 
Might have heard they worked at a well-known film school.
They picked up a few things other than trash. 
They might hate your movie, or if drunk think it’s cool.
Every now and then they get together for a lunch break. 
Trash talk some movie, or TV, or streaming.
Rodney and Jason and Sean – they all clean halls. 
If you listen close you can hear kids screaming: Film School Janitors!
