I spent months trying different combinations of kicks and burned snares, and forked the project three times before figuring out what I wanted to do.

This track was inspired by the lovely pads in Circulation's "Fruju", and Jon Holland's "Absolute Zero" from Vectorman on the Sega Genesis, of all things. I played the piano growing up, so it was nice to revisit my rusty piano skills to record the piano parts on this by keyboard! 

Mixing and polishing isn't quite done, so feedback is very welcome. Enjoy!

This track was inspired by the lovely pads in Circulation's "Fruju", and Jon Holland's "Absolute Zero" from Vectorman on the Sega Genesis, of all things (you might hear the absolute-zero-inspired arpeggiator during the drop).

This is the latest draft of the track, but I need to get off my ass to finish a companion track for it to release on an EP. Enjoy!

Vectorman. Great soundtrack held back by the difficulties of making music for the SEGA Genesis. For those without intimate knowledge of how to program for the sound chip, you were limited to software like GEMS, which was pretty restrictive in what you could do! I really admire what they managed to get out of it for the Vectorman soundtrack, so I wanted to try and fully realise what they were going for!

There's an unrelated situation where Tommy of Amico Entertainment had passed off music/sound effects made by others as his creations. This resulted in various sites mis-giving credit on one particular category based on his deceptive claims. It's an offense for him to pass off other composers' work as his. In 2024, there's another case of him selling arrangements not owned by him illegally.

Prior to the Disc Jockey passion, he's been producing bootlegs/unofficial remixes for years as a hobby. Note that the unofficial remixes here may sound different than the ones on his YouTube channel despite having similar names.

Taste Nate is a multi-talented artist from San Francisco. His unique sound melds abstract lyrics with a soulful flow. He runs his own label, Yellow Cake Radio and production company, Khapri Star.

Electric Mirage is the project of Douglas Black and Daniel Fowler to bring honest music back to the radio and dancefloor. Douglas wears his '80s and '90s influences on his sleeves, but adds his own sensibilities to create unique, atmospheric, and heart-felt melodic music that reaches across decades and genres. With his first release "Absolute Zero" on Framewerk's Capital Heaven record label, Electric Mirage is off to a very promising start.


Douglas Black and Daniel Fowler met in the Hong Kong nightlife scene and quickly became close friends with a shared passion for music and games.

They also share a passion for connecting with people, and the vision of Electric Mirage was born: create a world where people can come together, express themselves, and connect while listening to meticulously curated music from around the globe. A world with good vibes, good taste, and good company.

Douglas and Daniel’s performances quickly gained the DJ duo respect and followers in their adopted home of Hong Kong, and their rooftop gatherings became cherished memories for many attendees.

In 2020, Douglas Black began his musical residency on well-known UK breaks station, Cutters Choice Radio, and began developing his idea of what a music podcast should be. Each episode of coheres around exploring a story or idea through a variety of tracks from around the world, with quality and honesty being the most important criteria for selected tracks.

Douglas is currently based out of Tampa Bay, Florida area. Daniel is based out of Lisbon, Portugal.
