Venter bring you the second instalment in our CatchPod series...

Venter is a new project from experienced musicians - Tomasz Bednarczyk and Tomasz Mreńca.

The first released three albums for the labels Room40 and 12k. He is also responsible for establishing label 'We Are Your Music Mate', where together with Łukasz Kobster Łazarczyk they promote Polish underground music. Tom also co-creates with Kobster Harrison Chord - a duo in which they're playing black topical house. Mrenca is a violinist who creates classical compositions, jazz, experimental and avant-garde music. He is a member and co-founder of an international group of The Frozen Vaults whose songs appear on compilations with artists such as Max Richter or Olafur Arnalds. As it would be not enough he also composes pieces for theater performances and fashion shows...

In their own words:

From Venter we get great variety in terms of both genres, because in their music there are elements of ambient, techno, house or drones, as well as atmosphere that takes the listener on an emotional roller coaster. There is also a fusion of analog and digital sounds, sampling, recording their own vocals, classical sound of the violin in the avant-garde compositions, repetition and noise. Thomas and Tom (about who is who let everyone decide for itself) in a new project manages to deftly combine the best elements and features of music created earlier.

This podcast is all about the excitement about first fresh snow and frozen red hands. It's not so much about specific genre or time period as much as about this feeling. When we created it, it was like a snowball running down the hill, getting bigger and bigger, swallowing everything inside. Pure joy.

Producer and musician Anders Carstensen co writes with Danish artists in many genres. Several of his songs has recieved good reviews and air-play on National Danish Radio. He also performs as an artist in the bands/projects Dilemma Light, Cojack 59 and Blue Eyed Soul DK.

Lyricist Palle Hasling Jakobsen has collaborated with artist and producers in various genres around the world. Among others the German/American singer-songwriter Hans York, the danish singer Silas Siphan, danceact Naya and the Indian producer San Page.
