"1. To See it All - my final project from my 1st production class at Berklee College of Music from appx. 2023ish.
2. Mentally Ill - 1st this song came to me on my keyboard, and THEN the lyrics came. FULLY original, FULLY hand played, ZERO copy and pasting of that long 4-note hook! Once I was finished it was originally called, aptly, "Bipolar & Ret**ded", but folks don't seem to like that. (?)
3. Glow - Again FULLY original, FULLY hand played, and a piece of my heart. I wrote this song, guitar squeals, dulcimer, and all, for my estranged daughter.
4. Sakura's Downfall - I played this on my keyboard in my pro-studio/daw using a patcher instrument setting. The instrument plug-ins were "Sakura" and "Plucked". I originally was going to call it "Sakura's Plucked Up!" to be kitschy, but then it/I got all sad and sh!+ while playing, and down we fell.
5. Soul - Some of you may have heard this already. This is a "remastered/enhanced" version. I went in and added a sound booster, ANOTHER transient processor and compressor, and messed with the EQ a little. Much clearer and vibrant! The reason it's so "analog" sounding is I'm still in need of a proper ACTUAL drums recording location. You can play keys/synth all day
6. Who's There?! - This one was fun, and definitely the scorned man's anthem. Needs redone, but I wanted to share it, it was a very cathartic create. FULLY original with the tag/hookline on my guitar and then in the root of the mix inspired by Sting's - "Shape of My Heart" You can hear the homage if you know the song, but just a little, mine song is a lot different, way higher "octane" and about a man losing love's gamble.
7. I Don't Know You - This is the ONLY song on this entire album, and in my entire personal catalogue, where I used a PIECE of a free sample. Well, 2 actually...It's the very first song that I EVER mixed. It's 2 small free samples that I happened to notice sounded GREAT overlayed. That was my first creation, then I was inspired to write a poem for my new creation, and then because I can play instruments I thought to experiment. So, there's the 2 chopped and mixed samples and MY playing of the pan flute, bells on keys, hi-hats, and a custom patcher instrument I made with some saw plug-ins, some delay, etc...which all really change the tune, and then of course FULLY ORIGINAL LYRICS! Which ended up being dual purpose, I'm sort of talking to my oldest son and myself, discovering upon objective interpretation.
8. The Gr8 & Powerful Waz - This is a very easy explanation...and again the reason this one is so "analog" sounding...My best friend died, I was pissed! The little bit of heart I had repaired was broken. I sat down at the piano this came out, still pissed I sat down at the drums to beat some shit out. I wasn't going for crazy riffs or technique, just beating the S#!T out of the drums in a way that worked with the piano I laid down. Very much a piece of my heart.

It's not the most polished, best album in the world...but if you find your way I hope you enjoy!"

As part of the elite 5th Ranger Battalion, their job was to knock out the guns located at the top of the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc and secure the roads around the Pointe to prevent the German’s movement. We are re-broadcasting an interview with General Raaen. You’ll hear stories of D-Day from a soldier who lived it.

Family reunions after combat through the eyes of a songwriting veteran.

Silent Hero

The sky was red, the ground was glass
We walked through fire with no way back
Brothers fell with silent cries
Buried beneath indifferent skies

Each name we carved into the steel
Was proof we lived, and proof we feel
I still see them in the haze —
Ghosts of my most burning days

Ashes on the wind
We're scattered but we spin
Every scream and every breath —
Still dancing with the scent of death

But we don't break, we bend

The nights were long, the prayers were dry
We cursed the stars, but still we'd fight
No medals clung to bleeding hands
Just dirt and hope in foreign lands

The silence tells a louder tale
Of how we lived, and why we failed
But still I march with hollow boots —
A soul in armor, taking roots

Ashes On the Wind (first movement)

Raymond James was his name given at birth,but everybody called him Ray.
He lived nearby to me when I was growing up. Never had a lot to say.
Ray’s old man came home from the war in 45. Met a girl named Gwen, began to date her.
They were married soon & bought a little house. Ray came along just one year later.
All the kids in the neighborhood would meet at Ray’s. There was a vacant lot next door.
We played games until it got too dark to see. The next day we’d come back for more.
Ray never strayed too far from that old neighborhood except for those 2 years he was in ‘Nam.
Everyone that knew him knew that he was good. You’d be hard pressed to find a better man.

When Ray came home from ‘Nam he settled in to stay. Went on a date with Mona Dunn.
First love is the best, they say, and that was true for Ray. The first, the last, the only one.
Ray and Mona built a house next door to mom & dad. His dad gave him that piece of land.
They worked well together built that house with their own hands, with just a little help from Uncle Sam
Mona died from cancer, it was nineteen eighty one. Both his parents died in eighty-three.
Ray stayed on in that old house, he said, “I’ll never run, this is my house, makes sense to me.
Ray never strayed too far from that old neighborhood except for those 2 years he was in ‘Nam.
Everyone that knew him knew that he was good. You’d be hard pressed to find a better man.

Found out yesterday that Ray had passed away last month. We all are struggling with our grief.
There’s been a pall on the whole damned neighborhood. No one knows what to believe.
You know they didn’t have a service when he died, like they did for his wife, Mona.
None of us could have attended anyway. Thanks, again, Corona.
And so tonight we’re gonna celebrate the way we can. Hide’n Seek in the neighborhood.
The kids will all be playing – even moms and dads.Here’s to you, Ray, you were good.
