What to do when the desire to act is great, but the opportunities to do so are limited? 
When there are many ideas and wishes to experiment, but only a few can be realized? 
What if your creative urge is endless, but at the same time indelible? 
What to do when the obstacles in life are both metaphorical and physical? 
When life should roll like a pea, but it feels more like a bean or, even worse, a block? 

The exhibition “How Did It Get So Dark So Suddenly” focused on the theme of liminality, imbalance, which one must nevertheless navigate all the while maintaining an optimistic view on life.

A large-scale cyanotype installation was created at the Angaarinstituut in Põhjala, 
where everything found and reused found its place, was given new life with cyanotype blue. 
Large cubes made of plywood and window frames, fabrics, papers, ceramic tiles, and other materials were set up, displaying images and photograms of nature, where one can find both refuge and horror. 

Ave and Helle captured the photos both together and separately, always from the same starting point – seeking parallels and balance between complexity and free flowing state.

The exhibition included a sound installation created by sound artist Argo Vals, who drew inspiration from the visual material of the exhibition, mainly from angularity and natural environments.

How did it get so dark so suddenly [2025] Sound Design

Melodious Points Of Light Made Music...

'spirits in time' drifts through the hallway between memory and dream — a post-folk vaporwave hymn built from whispered poems, soft guitars, and ghosted light.

Acoustic fingerpicking and brushed drums keep a human heartbeat while hazy pads, reverse-reverb swells, and bell-like sparkles melt the edges of the room. The vocal stays close and intimate, carrying lines straight from Michael Lemmer’s poem: spirits wafting through tatters of tears, birds swimming through sight, new lives intertwining with vintage skins of wine.

The chorus blooms like a moonlit echo — “Spirits in time… singing dreams, we howl with the moon” — looping back on itself like reflections in an endless mirror. It feels timeless, weightless, and a little bit lost in the best way: all of us mixed up together, moving through the night.

〈內耗仔〉以一個頑固的低音動機作為整首作品的核心。 

低音鼓與定音鼓偶爾響起的厚重擊點，如同內心突然浮現的警醒聲——短暫、穿透，卻總是來得措手不及。 
然而更多時候，盤踞在背景的，仍是那股揮之不去的低頻迴圈：固執、重複，像是在角落不停畫著圈。 
其間錯落交雜的節奏與旋律動機，象徵著內心不斷互相扯動的細微聲音——有時像是想突破僵局的微弱衝動，有時像是突然乍現的出口； 
但每一次看似即將擺脫現狀的跡象，最終仍被拉回原點，繼續浮沉於熟悉的內耗之流。 

這首作品寫給手碟、顫音琴、馬林巴琴、低音鼓與定音鼓。 
馬林巴以頑固的來回踏步，形成整首曲子的內在軸心； 
手碟以低迴、沉靜的金屬迴響，塑造出內省氛圍與回聲； 
顫音琴則不斷與馬林巴交織，像 OS 般的思緒片段彼此推疊； 
而低音鼓與定音鼓的重量，為整個「內在漩渦」增添深度與張力。 

雖然身處無限回返的內耗迴圈之中， 我仍希望〈內耗仔〉能帶來一絲幽默與樂趣——
讓人在這場往返於自身內心的旅程裡， 看見那些細微而真實的動能。

Inward Spiral is built upon a stubborn bass motif that forms the core of the entire piece.
The occasional heavy strikes of the bass drum and timpani emerge like sudden flashes of inner awareness—
brief, piercing, and always arriving without warning.
Yet more often, lingering in the background, is that persistent low-frequency loop:
obstinate, repetitive, circling endlessly in the corner.

Between these pulses lie scattered rhythms and fragmented melodic gestures,
mirroring the subtle voices that tug within the mind—
at times a faint urge to break through the stalemate,
at times a sudden glimpse of an exit.
But every sign of escape eventually collapses back to the starting point,
sinking once more into the familiar currents of overthinking.

This piece is written for handpan, vibraphone, marimba, bass drum, and timpani.

The marimba’s stubborn, pacing steps form the internal axis of the work;
the handpan’s muted, resonant metal tones shape an introspective atmosphere,
echoing like quiet reflections;
the vibraphone intertwines with the marimba, layering thought-like fragments
that resemble a stream of inner monologue;
and the weight of the bass drum and timpani deepens the entire “inner vortex,”
adding density and tension to its spiral.

Even within this endlessly returning loop of inner conflict,
I hope Inward Spiral offers a touch of humor and a sense of play—
a reminder that, in this continual journey into ourselves,
there is movement, subtlety, and life waiting to be noticed.

The entire sound is in my hands. I write cyber poetry, produce, and compose every track ready for Immersive 3D. Every beat is crafted for spatial and next-gen headphones.
Intimate lyrics, total immersion, every track.

For 30 years I kept unfinished demos to myself, never letting them out. Now I finish what I start and release it the moment it’s alive.

I use every tool available, human or machine, as an instrument.
Technology doesn’t replace creativity. It expands it.

I’m a creator at heart. Music has always been a natural part of my life — something that flows from within rather than something I chase for attention or recognition. I make music because I love the process itself — exploring sounds, layering emotions, and capturing moments.

I’m self-critical in a healthy way and grounded in reality. I know there are better artists out there, and that’s perfectly fine. I don’t create to compete; I create to express. My priority in life is my family — providing for them and keeping things balanced.

Music, for me, is a space of peace and authenticity. I’ve made tracks that people enjoyed, and I’m grateful for that, but what matters most is that I stay true to myself and to the joy of creating.
