Banana Club is without doubt one of the top new labels on the Breakbeat scene today. Led by the young and highly prolific Cadiz artist, FM-3, it was set up in 2020 with a strong identity and powerful, effective dancefloor grooves inspired by English bassline and 2step/garage and a touch of funk. On this first vinyl release by the label, entitled [BAN001] “Funky Beats”, FM-3 kicks off his musical discourse with “One for Me”, a track which showcases the characteristic quality and forcefulness of his groove. This is followed by the album’s eponymous track “Funky Beats”, a collaboration with the multiple Spanish and World Scratching Champion, Jose Rodriguez, who dazzles with a number of superb passages in which improvisation and funk come to the fore. The B-side opens with “Panorama”, featuring Örak. This fascinating, highly-experimental track offers a fusion of breaks and tech house and an elegant acid line which acts as a common thread and brings cohesion to the whole idea. The record closes, as you would expect, with a collaboration with Bowser, another of the label’s regular artists, entitled “Bubbling”. A classic bassline dancefloor filler, it’ll take you back to the best tracks of the late nineties and early noughties. The classic black 12”, mastered and cut by Simon, a veteran sound engineer at the Exchange Vinyl in London, has achieved a sound which is quite simply brutal.

Yo Speed released their debut in digital format on the Distorsion Records in 2016. Since then their sound has gradually evolved, as their productions have served to mark a turning point in today's Breakbeat sound, making them a leading name throughout the genre on the international stage. As you would expect, their first solo vinyl release comes courtesy of the label where they first started out. On this first disc, DIST001 in the new Distorsion Records physical catalogue, entitled “Free Ur Mind”, Yo Speed offer us a collection of three tracks with a clearly defined approach. Penetrating subwoofers create an enveloping cushion of rhythms laden with swing and groove, twisted but elegant base sounds that will have you dancing from the very first beat. Ambient and vocal sound effects which end up holding you captive, subconsciously inviting reflection. Charlie Mariano real name #CarmineUgoMariano (November 12, 1923 – June 16, 2009) was an American jazz saxophonist who focused on the alto and soprano saxophone. He occasionally performed and recorded on flute and nadaswaram as well.

He played with several big bands in the USA and Asia during the 1950s and 1960s, and played in the quartet of his then wife Toshiko Akiyoshi before moving to Europe. He added the Malaysian nadaswaram and Indian instruments to his repertoire.
Father of Monday Michiru. He changed his name to Charles Hugo Mariano.

Chris Hinze Combination was presented internationally 1971 in the Casino at Lake Geneva during the Montreux Jazz Festival. From then on Chris Hinze went on the road all over Europe. Mainly American musicians joined the Combination, like John Lee, Gary Brown, Charlie Mariano, James Batton, Kevin Eubanks and many others. As the setting changed through the years, 'Combination' turned out to be an extremely apropriate name, since Hinze is always searching for new influences, interacting with musicians from other cultures, changing members of the Chris Hinze Combination for new tours and albums.

Well, first off "Randy Watson" is not my real name....this alias comes from one of Eddie Murphy's characters in "Coming to America." All my fellow children of the '80s probably already picked up on that....and if you don't know, check out the movie-- it's a classic!

I got my start in 2006 when Dam-Funk gave me the opportunity to be part of his weekly residency (along with Laroj, Billy Goods, Matt Respect & Eddy Funkster). We held down a weekly residency in L.A. called Funkmosphere for 11 years-- nothin' but top-shelf '80s funk/boogie and modern soul. If you ever rolled through one of these parties between 2006 and 2017, you'll know what I'm talking about!

These days, I'm one half of MIDNITE DISCO-- spinnin' at various spots in L.A. with the homie Kung-Fu Chris (Computa Games, Close Corners). The concept of “MidNite Disco” is a throwback to the late 70s and early 80’s music scene, where dancing would bring people together from all walks of life to express themselves in a shared celebration of life. ESNAOLA! is based in Buenos Aires, where his touch, is often required to infuse the magical element in ambiances with his "lounge sounds, delicately perfumed.. He ´s the resident Dj at Barcelona City FM & Ibiza Live Radio, and collective Soul in The Horn from NYC, USA.

He also djs for Private Events and Clubs such as Isabel, Segundo Rooftop, Sunny, Olympo Sky Bar, Jarana, Negroni, Cochinchina, Cowi, Chui, Patagonia Beer House, Temple Bar, La Panadería de Pablo, Ralphs BA, Frank´s Bar, The Squat House Party, The Oasis ClubHouse, Azul Profundo, Leopoldo, Orlov, Congo Bar, Puerta Uno, Milion, Rio Café, Belushi Martini Bar, Sheldon, Jet Bs.As. and places around Argentina, New York, London, México.

With a career of 30 years, he played music, with his distinctive mark, at Teatro Colón #GalaMusic-Gabriel Lage and the Mar del Plata International Film Festival, and played in concerts with Erica García, Divina Gloria and Sergio Pángaro and Baccarat.

He was the Star Dj at C5N TV Network, on the show NM.
