Old dirty laundry#54: Jan Oben

Die Plattensammlung von Jan Oben hat vor neun Jahren mit Hip Hop begonnen. Durch die Samples wurde er zurückgeworfen in die Zeit von Funk und Disko, von wo aus er sich durch die Jahrzehnete und Genres gegraben hat. Sein Fokus lag dabei stets auf scharfen Drums, die das steife Pattern des Viervieteltakts aufbrechen. Mitlerweile hat seine Suche ihn zu House und Bass Musik geführt, aber im Rahmen von Old Dirty Laundry geht er noch einmal zu seinen Anfängen zurück und liefert euch eine Stunde gemütlichen HipHop von Schallplatte only. Enjoy!

Old dirty laundry#56: Miss Hyde

Miss Hyde steht bereits seit 10 Jahren an den Reglern und zeigt dabei, dass sie sich soundtechnisch in keine Schublade stecken lässt. Ihre Liebe zu Hiphop,  Deutschrap und Trommelbass verbindet sie mit elektronischen Einflüssen aus Funkytronic, BigBeat, Grime und House und spielt dabei alles, was zum ausgiebigen Tanzen und Mitfeiern einlädt.

Nach erfolgreichen Partyreihen in Plauen und Dresden als DJ-Team Mille&Hyde, feiert sie ihr Comeback in diesem Jahr nun als Solokünstlerin. Seit diesem Sommer unterstützt sie darüber hinaus die Dresdner Rapperin und Sängerin La Rey an den Decks.

#Über Yo Lee: Beeinflusst von ihrer Liebe zu House, Techno, Bassline und Afro-Latin-Beats vermischen sich in ihren Mixes verschiedenste Rhythmen: Musik ist zum Feiern da!

#Über das Set: Mit diesem Mix wollte ich eine sehr wichtige Seite meines Repertoires präsentieren. Hip-House war meine Inspiration für dieses Stück. Diese Form der House-Musik entstand Mitte bis Ende der 1980er Jahre. Frühe Künstler des Genres wie The Beatmasters, Tyree und
Fast Eddie haben neben vielen anderen den frühen House-Sound seiner Zeit (einschließlich Chicago House der späten 1980er Jahre und Acid House) mit Elementen aus dem Hip Hop und mit fröhlichem, triumphalem Rap verschmolzen. Hip House entwickelte sich bis heute als eine Fusion von House und Hip Hop, die die Breakbeats, Drum-Loops und Turntables der frühen Hip-Hop-Produktion mit den Four-on-the-Floor-Rhythmen und gefühlvollen Elementen des House der späten 1980er Jahre gemischt haben.
