No dia 17/11/2016, Peter Gabriel lançou a campanha "Imprisoned For Art", para defender artistas de todo o mundo que foram presos por se oporem aos seus governos através de sua arte.

Esta campanha parte da iniciativa chamada The Voice Project. O objetivo é defender a liberdade de expressão, aumentar a conscientização e angariar fundos para apoiar e libertar dissidentes e presos políticos. Para apoiar esta campanha, podem visitar o seguinte link: http://voiceproject.org
