I "met" Vangelis in a documentary that I was watching somewhere on RTP (portuguese public channel). It would be maybe on a Sunday lunchtime in the early 80's and I didn't even think or realize what was in front of me.

Before that he had already 13 years making music (with a "Best Of") and after showing us what the soundtracks of millions of journalistic pieces of space and science: "Albedo 0.39", "Spiral" or the famous "Chariots of Fire" are huge themes.

At 79, it was too soon. It is the burden of the great: they will always be missed.

My name is Frank, as everyone can read, my last name is Mehl. I was born on this planet called Earth, sometime in November last century. I've been making music since I can remember, even before I learned to ride a bike. And this is for many parents a milestone in their child's development; riding a bike, I mean! 

I like to listen intensely (I have my problems with women's conversations, like many men I guess!). But this is not about psychology, but about the fact that I make music....Well, make music? How do you make music? It's a bit like riding a bicycle: you learn it, you get interested and then you never forget it. Like so many other things. One thing you should never forget and always keep in mind: respect and friendliness towards other people, no matter how strange they may seem to you....Everyone has their own story!

Oh one more thing: just because I do not answer someone immediately, follow or otherwise react in any way, this does not mean that I do not give her / him any attention. Everything needs time...and this is precious, this time. Thank you for taking it to read this little essay!
