Alfonso and Olivia are a couple that live in an intimate neighborhood in Kam Sheung. They are both artistic in nature which is what inspires their sound baths. Their sessions were more like abstract performances, an exploration of their instruments and their connection to each other while improvising. Alfonso played the metal singing bowls incorporating drones and various striking techniques while Olivia softly played broken melodies on a tuned tongue drum. 

The composition as a whole is a slow meditative performance that maintains its style throughout. An open door in their apartment welcomed the sounds from their neighbors and their daily chores to give it an identity and complete the piece.

It’s about showing up with generosity and patience—even when it stings. This might mean setting aside your pride to listen or swallowing your immediate reaction to respond kindly. 3840 Love Well When You Disagree

As I entered her studio in Kwun Tong, she had two small groups of crystal bowls. “I have a surprise for you, see if you can hear it.” She said. The piece started with a very somber tone. I felt there was a yearning, a calling in the beginning. She slowly transitioned to the second group which was more hopeful, and lively. This session was interesting because there was a predetermined concept for the composition that allowing her to freely improvise within its own limits. Ana has a large collection of crystal bowls and intimately knows each one. She does have a passion for music and her approach to singing bowls was more personal, molding her own style by exploring and experimentation. Her studio is next to a highway and a large construction site in Kwun Tong which is softly heard through the window of her space.

When life gets tough, it’s easy to convince ourselves that we’ve got it all figured out—that we know the way forward, and all we have to do is maintain control. But then, life happens. The nights drag on too long, and the days feel way too short. Stress piles up, challenges overwhelm, and the C-R-A-P of life—challenges, rejections, adversities, problems—grabs hold. So how do you find the strength to keep going, to find hope when hope feels miles away? The answer is simple but powerful: you are not in control. God is. And God is at work. Trusting God Amid the Chaos It’s not just a feel-good idea; it’s built deep into Scripture. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.” Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the .    We don’t have to understand every twist and turn. We don’t have to hold every piece of the puzzle. When we lean on our own understanding, life feels chaotic, confusing, and overwhelming. But when we put our trust in God, He promises to guide us—even through the darkest valleys. Isaiah 41:10 encourages us with a direct promise: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” God’s work is always present, even when circumstances scream otherwise. A Biblical Example: Joseph’s Story If you want the clearest example of how God is always at work, look no further than Joseph. Sold into slavery by his own brothers, jailed on false charges, and seemingly forgotten in prison, Joseph’s circumstances screamed failure and defeat. But God was at work through all of it. Genesis 50:20 sums it up perfectly with Joseph’s own words: “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” God’s plan was bigger than Joseph’s pain. He was weaving redemption and provision through every trial. Joseph’s story reminds us that no matter how deep the pit, God is at work—using even the hard and broken moments to carry out a greater purpose. The K.I.S.S. ~ God is at work!   Seeking God Every Day Every day, we need to turn to our Heavenly Father. Life may demand breath and energy, but God is the source of both. Psalm 118:24 declares, “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Breath, life, joy, hope—they all come from God. When you wake up feeling worn out or overwhelmed, that’s your signal to seek Him first. Ask for strength, guidance, and peace. Don’t wait for your circumstances to improve before you come to Him; go to God in the hard moments, the good moments, and everything in between. Conclusion: Let Go and Let God Move Tough seasons won’t last forever. The nights will shorten, the days will grow brighter, and your story will continue. But the one constant is this: God is at work. You’re not alone. You’re not lost. You’re not forgotten. Let go of the illusion that you’re in control, and take hold of the unshakable truth that God is working it all out on your behalf. That’s not just comforting words; it’s the life-giving reality that anchors us through every storm. God is always at work in the middle of your mess.&nbsp; "Be present. Be incredible. Sound Bath Sessions, fuses sound and wellness by recording sound baths around Asia. The main purpose of the project is to be a platform that connects local practitioners and listeners together. These are not your usual sound bath recordings. Recorded live and on location, they are honest portraits of what a live sound bath sounds like to immerse you in their world. They capture the flavor of each location giving them a sense of identity and culture for everyone to hear and belong. Please note that some recordings may contain disturbing noises and make the experience quite challenging, but listeners of all levels will be able to find a track to enjoy. Sound Bath Sessions is a Bivouac Recording project.
