Following the critical acclaim of their self-titled debut EP, praised by the likes of scene figures such as Gilles Peterson, Lefto, Laurent Garnier, Kevin Beadle, Pat Steel or Shy One, the Marseilles quartet Angles Morts is back with a four-track EP reflecting further growth in their sound. Drawing on the idea of itinerancy inspired by their wanderings on the roads of southern France, the project showcases a stunning soundscape, filled with the hypnotic textures provided by their arsenal of synths including Prophet Rev-2, Roland Alpha Juno 1, Emu-Orbit and Nord Lead A1. With its racing bass line, syncopated chords and dusty drums, the opening track “Macadam Freak” is a superb statement of the band's sound, concluding with a dreamlike saxophone solo by Matthieu Fabre.

Living in Bern, he came in contact with the rising movement of rave culture in 1994. Impressed by this powerful music he bought himself two SL-1210MK2 turntables and began to mix. After the influence of rave music he discovered the origins of the whole movement, the futuristic electronic dance music of Detroit. His first gig at a rave was in 1995, followed by gigs at Kaserne in Basel and Wasserwerk Club in Bern in 1996. In 1997 he played at Basis in Thun and got a residency at ISC Club in Bern. He has also been invited to play a set at Swiss Radio DRS 3. Following gigs were at clubs like Markthalle and Club U1 in Bern and Club Fri-Son in Fribourg. His first gig at Via Felsenau in Bern was in 1999. He got booked to Stratos at Rohstofflager Club Zurich in 2001, followed by gigs at Dampfzentrale in Bern. Inspired by the raising rave culture at first, Vision-E’s sets became more diverse in range. His sets today are based on a mixture of Techno and Electro.
