It’s been a while since I released my last mix. The last one was for bds, to give rise to this anthological mission. For years I’ve been researching, producing and exploring what electronic music wants to be, and to this day I have only one answer: Bass. It drains you, it moves something inside. You can’t quite explain it, but it reaches the soul. If that makes any sense, you transcend.

Wobcore is a mix I composed about a month ago. Its content might be familiar to many, since it includes tracks by other artists, but at the same time it’s universal, it's for everyone, it’s primordial and it’s within each of us.
To me, it’s where old school and new school meet, where sadness and bliss kiss, where fire and water merge. In short, it’s the balance I’ve found.

This mix was inspired by the work done with the friends and brothers from Gleba. In every track, there's a part of each of them, in every beat, their thoughts and dreams. I tried to merge mine with theirs and see what would come out.

Jimmy Turnbull is an Aussie DJ & Producer based in Manchester UK. From Acid bass to disco strings, Jimmy's sets will take you there and back again with a variety of musical influences. House is at the centre of Jimmy's sound but expect to hear a sprinkle of disco, Italo & garage with plenty of curve balls to keep things interesting. Unafraid of a powerhouse vocal he'll take you to church before making you a sinner.

Nihl (pronounced “Nile”) draws influence from the absurdity of the universe we live in and seeks to create personal meaning and fulfillment through a quest to constantly improve their command of sound, vibration, energy, the power of friendship, and bringing people together.
Founder of Burning Down the Triad and core member of the Diffuse Audio DJ/Engineer collective, Nihl brings to the table a diverse range of psychedelic flavors, picked to elicit a vibe unique to the situation they are selected for. Nihl ranges over many styles of electronic music, but primarily sticks to heavy, rolling bass lines, industrial whines and growls, syncopated percussion and polyrhythm, and sassy, sarcastic vocal samples.
